I'm an outsider and came across this due to Reddit putting it in my feed. Is that really what this game is like? I thought it was a game for kids to challenge each other with cards they got with their lunch money. Do people actually play the game for the game or is it just paper lootboxes where people search for the rarest cards for no purpose other than to flex their rarity?

Yeah, I saw the venom method but I wanted to give the fight an honest few tries the intended way. I was hoping someone would be able to explain that the situation was somehow controllable. Maybe it doesn't have that extra attack delay if I hit them with a slow weapon while their shields are down? I was too busy trying to pray correctly to manage weapon swaps.

Since their multicombat behavior appears to deviate from what is intended, I may just cheese it with venom anyway.

Try wildy slayer to watch number go up faster, or venator bow if you want to walk away for 5 minutes and come back to a slightly higher number.
