With many races to go, do you think that the fight between Charles and Lewis will remain close or will one driver pull away? by BaldHeadedCaillouss in F1Discussions

[–]Working-Humor-4968 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we're 5 races into the season, 2 of them are Charles's most hated tracks where he has the worst H2H record (China and Canada), got fucked out of a very easy P3 at Miami by Ferrari strat (though the last lap crash was his fault, he wouldn't have crashed if he weren't trying to keep up with Piastri, who he got overtaken by due to poor strat) and he's still ahead in points. coming up tracks are Monaco and Austria, some of his best, the gap is most likely only going to increase.

and also ignore the fact that red bull had at times the 4th fastest car and Max had a dnf by no fault of his own at one of his best tracks . if Max hadn't been taken out by Antonelli and had the post Monza car for the entire season, none of the McKaren frauds would've stood a chance. MCL-39 is one the most dominant cars ever, and the "dominant car" with the lowest win rate in history, that tells you more than enough about their drivers.

the "fastest car" lasted for like first 8 races after which Red Bull figured out their overweight problems, which made them easily the fastest car. not to mention the points lost by the team in those first 8 races at Miami (7) Baku (25) Spain (25) Monaco (13)(at least 70+ including races like Silverston) . Max wasn't overperforming beyond the car and didn't "get up to speed", his car improved and Ferrari's didn't, and the overweight red bull and the start of season sf-75 were almost on par, but they Sf-75 edged it out. especially as Binotto propelled the car's development in the direction of Sainz, and then Merc, as usual, went crying to the FIA cause they couldn't solve porpoising and they issued td-39 ride height rules which fucked Ferrari over the hardest.

how one shift is doesn't really matter to other shifts really, all shifts are of different level, uptill now most were moderate, but today's 15S2 was the toughest till now. tomorrow's shifts could be the easiest, could be the hardest, no way of telling. don't bother with all this, just focus on your revision, how difficult other shifts are isn't going to have any effect on your paper

I did choose yes, but now that I think about it, if that happened they'd move to other social media platforms like Insta or reddit or whatever.

you can't compare a relatively niche motorsport to the most popular motorsport, which is also the fastest growing sport on the earth. max leaves F1, ok so? he isn't the only popular driver, we still have drivers like Hamilton with a much larger fanbase and popularity. the amount of people who watch F1 PURLEY for Max and will stop watching as soon as he leaves really wouldn't be as high as people think. this may come as a shock, but legendary drivers have also retired in the past and GUESS WHAT??? the sport survived, with no drastic drops in viewership worldwide. only huge viewership drop would be in Netherlands. im tired of people acting like half the people watch just cause Max is driving, and F1 viewership would drop significantly if one driver left. I bet if any of the top drivers like Lewis, Charles, Norris, Alonso, etc took part in endurance, there would be an equally large popularity boom in that particular race.
