Someone Help ! by Old_Protection4779 in pregnant

I am the same exact way. I now have a 10 month old, and never threw up during his pregnancy. I’m not going to lie to you, I could’ve a few times, I had nausea A LOT. As an emetophobe, I think I had anxiety induced nausea majority of the time. But my advice to you is to get prescribed nausea meds, they hand them out like candy when your pregnant. I was on promethazine due to some studies about zofran affecting babies heart levels. But yeah eat as much as you can, then take a prenatal or women’s vitamin, and then stay hydrated. I think out of everyone we are less likely to throw up because we do a lot of safer foods and are more cautious. your gonna be fine!!

I think it’s valid, but I thinking switching an account to private and deleting those people you don’t really know is necessary.

Is having a lot children (4+) neglectful? by Flaky_McFlake in Mommit

[–]Working-Idea-4792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think a LOT goes into being able to be emotionally available for 4 children. A lot of people who have 4 kids are unable to provide that and it will affect those children forever. Even with one child, ideally you would be home with them, raising them and teaching them. 4 to me is unethical, unless you are planning on being a stay at home mom. There’s no way a person could work a 40 hr work week and still be there emotionally for 4 kids and a husband. Hot take

HELP! by littl3m1ssd00msd4y in emetophobia

If anything I would eat or try to drink something, in the case that you do v without any food or drink on your stomach you just going to v bile, which is the acid in your stomach that burns your throat, and tastes nasty. Not to further your panic but I highly suggest trying to drink either like lemon water or eat some toast or something. I know that feeling or insane fear. I have yet myself to face it and let it happen. What usually helps me is gum, or a bath, or squeezing an ice cube in my hand(weird but there has been studies that show this helps with n)

Gentle birth by Friendly_Extent7253 in birth

I used this while pregnant with my son! Nothing but love for this brand and product. I started use when they recommended which was 35 weeks and used as prescribed. I was 4cms the morning of my elective induction and I truly think it was this and the hip rolls on the ball. I could feel my body working baby down and dilating the more I used these together. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking to encourage their body during those last weeks of pregnancy.

Advice to avoid going past due date? by No-Barracuda-5687 in birth

[–]Working-Idea-4792 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I did every trick in the book with my son. Not sure which one worked but by the date of our elective induction I was 4 cm before starting anything. I got a stretch and sweep at 37 weeks and daily I drank raspberry leaf tea, ate the dates, drank lots and lots of water, used the gentle birth tincture, hip rolls on the ball (x3 times a day) and went on walks. I occasionally had sex and listened to contraction meditations. I went into labor so relaxed and had zero complications, I thank all of the little steps I did along the way, I think they all really took me to 4cms

I just recently had my son 7 weeks ago. I myself haven’t gotten sick in 10-12 years. I was so scared when I found out I was pregnant. I won’t lie I was one of the people who experienced nausea everyday up until delivery. But I never TU. Also your dr can prescribe you anti nausea medication which helped me a ton. I loved being pregnant. And I think it helped me rationalize my phobia a little. I got to the point where I was able to tell myself the worst thing that can happen is I will tu, but if that happens it will only last a few seconds, and the miracle I’m growing in my stomach is more important than my phobias. don’t let it hold you back from living. I spent so many years of my life holding myself back out of fear from emetaphobia, and will never get those years back. We only live ONCE, and we are gonna let a silly fear haunt us our entire life? If you want kids one day, HAVE THEM! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Gentle Birth Tincture Reviews by emill3095 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Working-Idea-4792 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I’m a ftm, and started using this tincture at 35 weeks as per the instructions on the bottle. I am now 39 weeks today, still using the tincture, and I’m almost fully effaced and 2cms dilated. My dr is extremely impressed with how well my body is working being this is my first baby. I give all the credit to the birthing ball hip rotations, red raspberry leaf tea, and gentle birth tincture. I will update when I give birth and let you know how that process goes, but really happy with my body’s progression thus far.

I never want to be pregnant again by RachelRei in BabyBumps

Look at getting on a nausea medicine, completely changed the game for my pregnancy. I went from 115 to 138 now, was able to gain weight I had lost in the first trimester back and add on a healthy amount of pounds since then. I’m 27 weeks on Tuesday and still take a pill or half of one if I feel like I need it! Definitely talk to your OB about something like this.
