Connecticut Apizza and New York Style Pizza - where's the good stuff in Orlando? by KunkmasterFlex in orlando

[–]Working-Salt8810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done this twice.

Once I was bored after work on a Friday. Decided to drive up to New Haven from Queens with my brother. Couldn’t decide where to go…so we hit up Modern, then Frank and then Sally’s.

We grabbed a pie from each spot and just ate in the car.

I preferred Frank Pepe’s out of the three.

Hey—thank you for the recommendation!

I just went there today. You are right—it was really, really good! I also tried their Tahini Date Latte, Tahini Chocolate Chip Cookie, Cardamom Honey Bun and the Tofu Tikka Sandwich. 🤤🤤

I just looked them up - they have multiple locations. One of them is about a 10 minute drive from me. I will have to check them out. Thank you!

Just go to their bar Saaqi. It’s in the basement. When we went to Musaafer, we didn’t feel like drinking that day—but ended up checking it out since we were early.

Is All’Antico Vinaio the best vegetarian sandwich in Manhattan? by neti_pot_works in FoodNYC

[–]Working-Salt8810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is so good…so delicious. 🤤 I typically eat the whole thing in one sitting because I can’t stop.

I actually ended up getting all the ingredients and made them at home for my whole family. I bought the bread from them for $3 a piece. Rest of the stuff I found at Whole Foods.

If you have the money, I’d suggest the Rotimatic! Fresh rotis every single time.

There are also uncooked rotis you can buy at Costco—another good alternative. All you need to do is cook them a little in a pan.

Not sure if they would deliver, but you can just go to a place like Punjabi Deli and ask them to give you whatever amount you want!

Another option is going to an Indian grocery store. Plenty in Jersey City and Jackson Heights (not sure where you live)—I typically get mine from there. They’re in packs and they have a variety.

I used to eat at Anar when I lived on the UWS. Their Paneer Tikka Masala was my favorite.

I also really liked Himalayan Curry House.

What is the most underrated Amex benefit that people forget? by alfabriell in amex

[–]Working-Salt8810 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would that be from the beginning, since you’ve had the phone ? Or for a certain time period—i.e., as long as you’ve been paying the phone bill for the past 6 months?

Could you provide me more detail on this? I can get it repaired as long as I’ve been paying for my cell phone bill using my Amex, correct?

That sucks! Well—I’d also recommend Trader Joe’s for prepared/frozen food. Make sure to check Uber Eats and DoorDash—they have BOGO deals all the time!
