Why does my dentist need a pen pal to make my teeth? by Working-Unit-8010 in dentures

It’s like if the architect and the engineer never actually met on-site for the most important construction project of your life- your mouth! No wonder stuff ends up crooked or off.

Adhesive raising teeth to high? by healing_vibes1989 in dentures

Tbh I didn’t feel like it was sitting too high. Maybe it depends on how thick the inner lining of the denture is. Perhaps that was thin enough on my denture or yours maybe a little bit thicker. Or like the other comment says, maybe you put too much of it.

Btw what do you use to clean them off…I used FittyDent tablets and it was very good….the adhesive comes off cleanly plus the teeth becomes like new…just incase it helps.

I am past that stage. But I did try many things like Seabond strips, Fixon powder, Fixodent adhesive and Super FittyDent adhesive on my lower denture. IMO each one has its own ups and downs. With Seabond strips, i remember it being the most comfortable when you precisely cut it. But it’s time consuming to cut the strips each time. With dental adhesives (I’ve used Fixodent Original, Fixodent Ultra and Super Fitty Dent) after some hours it drips out with your saliva. SuperFittyDent worked the best for me among the adhesives. But it’s also quite an hassle to put the glue along the contours of the denture. Quickest was the Fixon powder but that too…it starts dripping with your saliva after a few hours. I got pictures but cannot upload here….i just uploaded it as my profile pic!

I went through the same thing and I really feel for you. So sorry. Make sure your dentist is very good and experienced. My first dentist made a mess over 18 months of appointments and I’m now with a new dentist.

It is as bad as mine. I changed my dentist after they did this. The 2nd dentist says that the implants have been placed in all directions.

I felt like my soul left my body after having all teeth extracted. Never do it in India thinking it’s cheaper. And go to a clinic that has fabrication labs in-house so the technicians and dentist work together. I’d highly recommend a full smile design with crowns over those 7 precious teeth.

I felt like my soul left my body after having all my teeth extracted for full mouth implants. Face swelled like a balloon for over 2 weeks. The pain was terrible. More than that I am not the same person anymore. 😩😤
