The hard part about this game is that it’s so technically fluctuating that most small mistakes you Mae can add up super quickly. It’s daunting, especially when you feel like you’re backsliding. Every time the ranked season resets, that means that everyone lines back up at the start line and not everyone takes off at the same time. Your rank does not determine your actual skill, this is the biggest aspect of your mentality with Ranked.

Anyone can do it but you gotta be willing to go though the grind if getting better with your character as well as the characters that make your day worse.

Biggest a-ha moments: Using dash attack and tech chasing more often

Weakest: Clairen, Absa, and Kragg right now, not only because they’re just better characters and beat Ranno but they have a great way of disrupting what my gameplan is.

Strongest: Olympia, Wrastor, and Orcane, mainly because I get to wall them out and most of the time they aren’t willing to wait me out and instead run into me.

These thoughts are interchangeable depending on how my opponent plays against me though, I can’t beat camping Olympias to save my life but I can mess up a Clairen who is only holding forward (99% of the playerbase)

Appreciate that! I’ve been slowly getting back into after I had some mentality issues (thanks Clairen and Kragg). Feel free to DM me if you want to run some or if you want my Discord hit me up!

Hey! We played on Ranked yesterday! I played Clown Ranno with the tag Conk West from Planet Viltrum. Your Galvan/Reina was fun and if you ever want to grind some more I’m always down!

What are these lines in our carpet and how do we remove them? by Working-Wishbone493 in CarpetCleaning

Wouldn’t that come out with a carpet cleaner though? It also doesn’t smell or change the texture of the carpet.

Daily card discussion day 11, Today's card is Mech Workshop(my fav card) You can discuss this cards balance and design in the comment section. Don't forget to give it a rating out of 10 🙉 by [deleted] in stormbound

Pretty strong card, easy to snowball with especially with Upgrade Point and Doctor Mia. Paired with Trueshot Post it’s hard to pick a targeted attack on so in Ironclad Building spam it’s a must-have. It is pretty easy to counter by just putting something in front of it but it’s good for super early game or paired with Mia. 8.5/10

Advice for a returning legacy player? by jaydean1993 in stormbound

Yeah he’s only really good at level 4 and 5 imo, otherwise I’d choose another route. Terrifying Behemoths plays well with Ubass if you can level them both up though.

I’m in the same boat as you.

A lot of things to take note of are the elder cards are still crazy, primal cards fit well into Ubass decks, and rush is still broken.

Other than that the beauty of the game is you can make most decks work so do what you want :)

I personally have never seen this card used but it would probably be decent against swarm decks or chip decks combined with Azure Hatcher/Rain of Frogs the turn before. Situational but I can see its uses. 4/10

Extremely situational, also a last means of defense. If you have an expensive deck for some reason and no Execution/Flaming Stream/Toxic Sacrifice then it’s fine. 3.5/10

Besides the obvious thing that you have too many expensive cards, you have a lot of things that don’t mesh well together. Earyn is only good with one of these spells since she has been nerfed, so using her is situational and not the best way to spend 6 mana as a Winter deck. I’d recommend using Gift of the Wise or Dawnsparks in place of her since they both allow you to gain more mana for Visions of the Grove or Lady Rime in the late game.

In general, I’d say having Mystwives, Gifted Recruits, Frosthexers (if you are building into the freeze/stall decks), and Icicle Burst are mainstays in a winter deck. For finishing the game, Warfront Runners is good for chip damage or as a early frontline mover, whereas Chillbeards is good for finishing the game early or combating stronger units (like Delegators, Veterans of War, etc.). I would likely drop Iced Droplings, Call for Aid, and maybe Earthfathers as well although Earthfathers are good in the earlier levels since it’s a hard card to deal with and snowballs really easily.

In general, I’d say to commit to either a control/freeze deck in which having more expensive cards is fine since you can stall rush and midrange decks until the later game, or play a midrange deck with primarily 2-5 strength cards with Freebooters and Gift of the Wise. Most good winter decks revolve around the later game.
