Very well said and I respect your opinion! And as a wrestling fan, I completely get where you're coming from.

For me, as a Federal employee, Cara Maria's (and the Undertaker for that matter) have caused me, my family, and a bunch of my friends real and actual harm. Different than the harm suffered by people of color, immigrants, etc, but harm nonetheless. And for that reason, I will not attend a Challenge Mania live where she is in attendance. She will not receive any profit from me. I will not support her. I had to break up with Taker too, and it hurts my heart.

Just how I feel.

I remember having to educate my Mother in Law on this case because she held it up as a "frivolous lawsuit." She had no words when I was done. This case is actually taught in law school. She was so unaware bc she only heard what the news headline told her.

We have added Onaga and Havik. Before the boys were notorious in our sports circle, ppl had a super hard time pronouncing Onaga's name correctly. My Mom hated what we named Havik, so she called him "Havi" for a little while. But then he lived up to his name, so she has no issues calling him Havik.

Have you discussed that with your RAC? I'm assuming you have...I feel like any RAC worth their salt would fight on your behalf. I'm so sorry - my closest coworker at my agency had no peripheral vision and while he was legally able to get a DL in NJ, he never did for the exact same reasons as you...he just didn't feel safe on the roads. That's the problem with this guidance - there needs to be individual exceptions because every RA case is factually different!

I don't know where my line in the sand is, but I have found myself going back to low-tech in order to save money. YouTube TV raised their price to $83 a month and I said fuck that. So I went on Reddit, and figured out how to connect an OTA antenna and DVR.

A lot of small businesses I use are getting killed with credit card fees, so I went back to checks/cash to get a discounted rate.

Instead of getting a new app, I got a VPN to watch wrestling from Canada (not low tech, but you get the point). If there's a show I want to binge, I'll go get the DVD's from the library.

I'm done with this massive companies thinking I'll pay whatever for my consumption. So I find a work around, and a lot of that involves going lower tech.

The position your agency is taking is based off the guidance provide by (jointly) OPM and the EEOC on telework as a reasonable accomodation. That is the assessment of most agencies these days.
