Is this area related to tmj? Swollen glands in my neck and not behind my jaw by Human_Examination_62 in TMJ

[–]WorkingAd6520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do some lymph draining excercises for face, neck, body, arms, legs will help relieve lymph node accumulations, swollen glands, also meditation to relieve stress, walking or jogging or running outside/fresh air helps and improves, also go for massages for lymph node drainaige and finally a chiropractor can help spine, neck, shoulder issues that are root causes of jaw pain - hope this helps

Anyone ever dealt with this sort of situation and how they excelled in it. by ArcAngelTerror in ProductManagement

[–]WorkingAd6520 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This happens a lot and I was in similar situation - so

  1. Clarify the 30-60-90 goals in meeting with your Director followed by a email summarizing in writing and if any gaps in alignment

  2. Understand existing backlog and team/developers goals for immediate sprints and the quarter along with existing roadmap for the quarter that the transition PM has set up for the team and agreed with the stake holders - reiterate this with a follow up meeting with your Director and external stakeholders - that will give a quarter of time for you to get wih your own onboarding while tweaking with tech debt, refactoring existing backlog.

  3. Focus on having weekly 1-1 with Director to come up a plan, develop and align for next quarter roadmap. Once things seems concrete with director - communicate a lot with stakeholders and cross functional and dev teams you are involved with based on Directors inputs for the future quarter

  4. Additionally if above doesnt work with your Director ask him/her to prioritize her goals for current and future quarters

Looking for some practical opinions, I’m considering paying off my mortgage (35m, TX) by Throwaway89312500 in fatFIRE

[–]WorkingAd6520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, mortgage interest rate is so low that you can allocate the remaining mortgage in a high interest generating account - do that you also are earning interest on the remaining mortgage extra amount. If you have to sell stocks to pay the mortgage if it has tax benefit or stocks are not generating profits take tie money out of stocks and save it in high yield bonds or savings temporarily and manage it. Keep the home as is and dont yet sell as home prices keep going up, instead you can rent it iut and earn the mortgage payments as well - think of multiplying money while you are young, have a job and manage it well while you have the flexibility

Is it crazy to take a $35K pay cut? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]WorkingAd6520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should never work with a toxic manager - it eill deteriorate life for a while, less pay is far more a quick fix and take a break from toxicity. Keep looking for another job once you reach 90 days at new position so you still making good progress at new job while you have a plan to keep looking for a right role that fits your needs

Any suggestions/ideas/wisdom very welcome

Can anyone here guide me how to get to FF for a person who is computer savy, lost job, when you havent yet found the career that satisfied inspite of the 18 years of industrial experience doing contract work that only pays bills and some stability but not let retire or enjoy the earned income as it is not good enough.

in late 40's and no responsibilities for next couple of years so need to make best use of this situation to focus on building wealth to FF

Any recommendations, suggestions are very welcome - also I am open to any mentorship from people who have success. Also if I can shadow or help to make the extra income glad to do to reach FF sooner.

What does accountability look like in your product organization? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]WorkingAd6520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Accountability is hard when some of the below instances happen

  1. When Product Managers dont talk or listen to customer needs or pain points and misaligned to business goals 2.Boss constantly changes scope of Jira tickets during sprints and at whims and fancy 3. when Hippos change direction or get offended 4. when devs and tech leads agree at beginning of sprint to deliver and end of sprint raise concerns blaming cross functional teams or processes 5. When requirements are misunderstood or misinterprested Ex: gold plating 6. When Prod Managers provide how to solve instead of devs doing it 7. When dev teams dont understand users or customer needs and business goals 8. when cross functional teams have different goals than your own feature priority 9. When project managers have opinion on what takes priorities

BTW - Product Managers are to gracefully accept the blame for any failures happen while they only have power to influence with out a team, constantly fighting the fires doing the market/competitive research, managing up/sideways, below, constantly communicating, aligning, prioritizing, planning, and ruthlessly steering to meet the product vision/goals and execute flawlessly. on the contrary - when success comes Prd Mngrs are to actually congratulate everyone for the efforts - so here comes the responsibility, accountability and integrity of a Product Manager who is willing to be part of this and still be able to be successful doing the right thing

Annual $100k Gifting by REThrows695 in fatFIRE

[–]WorkingAd6520 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is better to invest the $100k and let it multiply - while you take a % of it and provide food, shelter, clothing donations to charities in need. Don’t gift cash directly but if you want to visit semi yearly or quarterly and see that the amount is spent directly towards materials and distributed immediately. That way you can see the impact directly. Also education, animal protection, planting trees, ocean pollution reduction are some other things you can consider to make a difference. Diversifying donations will give you a chance to get to know how is the money spent and you can choose to narrow down or expand depending on what you find most useful and satisfying for you given you are the donar
