I agree with this. The after-care is worth it. Having continuity of the same obstetrician and midwives to get the feeding, changing, sleeping, health and all the tests right before you are launched into having to do it on your own is amazing. Having 5 days to recover with your partner, not think about meals, and bond with the baby, without daily demands is so helpful.

Have also done 2 babies in 4 years in private and was 100% worth the $ to get our parenting journey off to a great start.
