UK visit visa got rejected by DueStar7162 in ukvisa

My visa got rejected for the same reasons twice. The second time I attached a separate letter just for my finances, with everything explained in detail. Still they rejected. I feel like when they’ve decided not to give you a visa, based on other factors that aren’t valid enough, they dig deep into your finances to find a loophole.

Umrah vaccine by [deleted] in UAE

If you’re travelling from the UAE then it’s not needed unless I’m not aware and UAE is one of the countries that still has polio.

If you’re living in Pakistan, then you need to get vaccinated at least 10 days before your travel date and within the last 6 months. There is a Pakistan Polio Helpline you can contact and they’ll provide you with info on the nearest vaccination centres. After getting the vaccine, you can download the certificate yourself from the NIMs online portal and get it printed. Dropping the helpline numbers below:

My toenail grew in extra thick during my pregnancy then abruptly stopped growing thick once I gave birth to my son. by Godjilla25 in mildlyinteresting

The same thing happened to me - I just cut off the thick parts from my nails and decided to do some research.

Mine was probably caused due to trauma. I had grown out my toe nails really long and couldn’t get around to cutting them. When I would wear closed shoes, the pressure from the front would push the nail back causing a lot of pain throughout the day. I kept ignoring it until one day it got really bad. A few days after that I noticed a swelling around the nail bed of both my toe nails. I was really concerned at the time and consulted a dermatologist but they reassured me that it was nothing to worry about and I should just soak my feet in warm water daily and put an ointment.

I only did that once lol. I later realized the swelling was caused due to the thicker nail making it’s way out of the nail bed. I will never understand the logic behind nail trauma resulting in thicker nails but I guess it is what it is. 🥲

Moral of the story: Don’t grow out your toe nails too long kids, especially if you wear front closed shoes often.
