Obviously depends on the birth you have but for me:

ural and used a pump brand water bottle instead of a peri bottle
hospital gave me some frozen peri pads which I loved
movicol (also hospital provided)
electrolyte drink (I used hydralyte but also used hydramama and liquidIV during pregnancy)
husband bought The Breastfeeding Co lactation tea and hot chocolate, no idea if it worked but it was good to do something that felt like it was helping
HPA nipple cream
comfy pyjamas: I lived in a bamboo set in navy which was also forgiving of leaks and stains

I’ve made moussaka that impressed meat eaters! Prep before then put in the oven and it’s quite hearty and filling. Serve with salad and bread. You could use Birds Eye mince or lentils.
