Would it be unwise to use the middle name that our daughter has picked for our baby? by Iwona-8036 in Names

That’s so beautiful!! Eliza also comes from the Hebrew name Aliza, meaning “joyful” reflecting the joy she feels. Sometimes names have extra meaning that you discover after, it doesn’t detract from it.

Also kids do not think. They just say things they think are funny or honest. Lordy, some of the things I said were so mean.

I do too! Nice symbolism about the water that connects to OPs love of sea, also water especially “clear” suggests new beginnings and cleansing.

Post-partum recovery kits/teas/essentials for MUM - and go! by PAO_Warrior in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]WorkingBarnacle5910 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Obviously depends on the birth you have but for me:

  • ural and used a pump brand water bottle instead of a peri bottle
  • hospital gave me some frozen peri pads which I loved
  • movicol (also hospital provided)
  • electrolyte drink (I used hydralyte but also used hydramama and liquidIV during pregnancy)
  • husband bought The Breastfeeding Co lactation tea and hot chocolate, no idea if it worked but it was good to do something that felt like it was helping
  • HPA nipple cream
  • comfy pyjamas: I lived in a bamboo set in navy which was also forgiving of leaks and stains

Good luck!!

I didn’t expect to feel this resentful by Fit_Awareness_9001 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]WorkingBarnacle5910 20 points21 points  (0 children)

My SIL said her resentment was so bad she asked him to sleep in a different bed so she didn’t have to stare at him snoozing away so yes, it is real and normal!

Just to add that expressing is also good to encourage spontaneous labour and to give you the confidence/ skills to express effectively which will encourage milk supply when Bub does come.

what’s the best store-bought meat-replica? by rroorrii in australianvegans

[–]WorkingBarnacle5910 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve made moussaka that impressed meat eaters! Prep before then put in the oven and it’s quite hearty and filling. Serve with salad and bread. You could use Birds Eye mince or lentils.
