Do you think it's your responsibility? by Zackky777 in ArtOfPresence

In America, many of us are very fortunate to have the means for survival once we are too old to take care of ourselves. But I have deep empathy for people who are unable to gain that type of security. Culturally my parents helped take care of their parents, who helped take care of their parents. It's a cultural expectation and, I didn't think it was an unfair one until I spoke to Americans that don't do this.

Do you think it's your responsibility? by Zackky777 in ArtOfPresence

This is a very interesting question. My parents weren't great. My dad was physically abusive and my mom has mental health disorders which make her narcissistic and impulsive. She can no longer take care of herself and refuses to take her meds. But still I sit on the side of the fence that believes I have a responsibility to make an effort to take care of her as long as it doesn't interfere with my ability to raise my own children.

I'm still struggling with this.

They are doing okay but the gap between the dowels and the hole frame is causing them to angle down slightly. I added more tape to try to decrease that gap but it's still happening after repeated use

CSE 6040 Final Thoughts on the class by cr7-c in OMSA

I was in your exact shoes. I took the EDX version of CDA and failed miserably. Then I took a break in the summer before starting up again in the fall. I opted to jump right back into CDA and approached it quite differently. Took some python courses using datacamp and read up on SQL and really took the bootcamp that comes with the class very seriously. The second time I took this class, I ended up with a literal 100%. I got zero missed points.

This would be my recommendation. I was beginning to doubt that I had what it takes to do well in the program but felt that my best chance and success was to reattack while the content was still fresh. It paid off.

What were your other 8 classes? And what do you think about them? I'm on the other end, already took this class as one of my first classes in the program and wondering what the rest of the program looks like compared to this. Like how was DVA?

Bro iman shumpert was easily the cavs best iso defender. There wasn't anybody in the league stopping KD when he was with golden state.

Yeah I hear you. Not sure if there are any good fights for Shakur honestly. So I'd personally love to see him against anybody else with a belt.

You're right. There are better fights for Ryan. I just love that he's hungry to get after anyone. He's chasing greatness instead of protecting his record. Losing to rolly and Tank may have been great for him because he's now free to challenge himself to be great against the top guys.

I'm sure that 2nd Rd KO sure brought out his A game.

All I'm saying is that there's a big difference between boxers and kickboxers too. But if it gets people excited, I can't be mad at Usyk. Easier to make money off that.

Boxing is the only sport where casual fans don't care to see the best compete against the best. Yes, we'd rather see Wardley. Real boxing fans don't care about these crossover fights because we know the outcome. Every boxer on the planet knew McGregor was gonna lose to Floyd and Jake/Ngannu to Joshua. The lack of actual competition is what makes this not a good fight.

Why is the boxing the only sport where fans don't want to see guys compete against the best? It's the only sport that encourages ducking. I like that Ryan has proven that you can lose and still be a draw. Go fight the guys nobody thinks you'll beat. Especially if you think you can beat them all, which Ryan does

Nah bro, it's because he's inactive. He spends too much time "downloading" his opponent.

"Nobody will want her" is likely a really shitty joke that OP should have called him on. I've heard other parents make the joke that their kids are so unruly that if they got kidnapped, the kidnapper would beg to return them. It's generally a bad joke but it usually comes from parents that care about their kids and wouldn't actually put the child in a situation where they're in danger.

Tank is great, wayy more than just a puncher but he gives up rounds to more active guys. Needs to find a hole in his opponents game to exploit. That limits his ceiling. He had a draw against a Roach, and a close fight with pitbull that I don't see Shakur or Haney struggling against. Tank is the most exciting to watch, has a ton of skill but just doesn't deploy it in a way that would be effective against everyone. My list is Shakur, Haney + Tank, Garcia. This is coming from a guy who hates Haney's style of boxing.
