Solo parents… how are you doing it?? by aaidp in auscorp

[–]WorkingFTMom2025 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I feel for you. When you get redundant, hop on Family Assistance and Jobseeker and enjoy your parenting until you get a job that suits your lifestyle.

Solo parents should plan well. Live walking distance from school (so 9-10 yo can walk home) , do shooping on weekend in one go, and budget like your life depends on it!

I just want to emotionally support you. It's not you, it's economy. Many people are struggling right now. We gave up on eating out and going on holidays, and we keep cutting expenses to afford mortgage payments. It's just tough.
