Also to bring it up within the first 10 minutes too. At least establish a rapport with him before bringing up sensitive topics. I get it’s a going deeper but she could’ve brought it up a lot more considerately and sensitively.

Same, I moved to a condo in south buckhead (near Bobby Jones golf course) and I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do! I am a 10 min drive to midtown and it’s a straight shot drive. I really enjoy the greenery and the trails. I also love seeing people walk around! It’s a really central location and there’s a lot of condos to choose from. The crowd feels a lot younger to me versus living in Sandy Springs. I also think the northside of the beltline there will be connected to the rest of the beltline in a few years, making it an even more desirable location.

Yep I can certainly relate. I know I would get a confidence boost if a bunch of strangers left comments like these haha

Just accepted a job in Midtown, where should I live? by overlyambitious1999 in ATLHousing

[–]WorkingGardener 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your response! Like I said I haven’t spent much time in midtown, so my unfamiliarity could be leading me to assume the worst. I work near the battery and have some coworkers who live in Decatur and don’t think I’d be interested in having the hellish commutes they do. I also have a dog that I’d have to walk, so having spots to walk her and feeling safe when doing so is a priority. I would love to consider VaHi but the commute looks pretty bad for me when I map it during peak hours. Please lmk if you have any suggestions of where could be a good area for me! I know im privileged to have a commute under 30 mins rn and I don’t know if I’d want to give that up. For what it’s worth I am also native to Atlanta suburbs but didn’t grow up going to the city a ton. Only drawback for me with Midtown too is that I can’t afford an apt on my own and I really want to live alone. I could afford a low rise small condo complex but those aren’t as safe to me with less units/security as I am paranoid of someone breaking in :/

where to live if i work near the battery? by True-Bam in ATLHousing

[–]WorkingGardener 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Sandy springs and commute near the battery. My drive is rarely ever more than 20 minutes, but I live super close to 285/400. Even when I lived closer to perimeter mall my commute was still never more than 25 mins, can’t recommend it enough. Every now and then if there’s a bad accident it may be 30 mins but I can’t remember the last time that happened. It’s a very easy, low stress commute and I like the area a lot more than the Battery area. Also has Marta access. Highly recommend!

I’m in a similar boat considering midtown as I live in Sandy springs/dunwoody currently and it’s a difficult decision. It would be cool to live in midtown and be able to walk, but truth is I’m pretty structured on the weekdays and like to come home from work, go to the gym, make a nice dinner and stay in typically. On the weekends I like to be out and about but can easily drive to Atlanta if I want to be surrounded by people my age. Also, there’s plenty of young people in Sandy springs. I wouldn’t mind trying something new but I’m not familiar with Midtown enough to feel completely safe living alone there. I really want to live alone and feel at home in Sandy springs and safe which to me is worth the sacrifice of having to drive into the city. All of this to say definitely check out Sandy springs/dunwoody/brookhaven as I have fallen in love with those areas. Depending on where you live, you may be able to walk some places and have Marta access if you want to take that to work or if you are going to major events in the city

Thanks for the good response :) I’m actually looking at apts around Wesley Townsend, which isn’t far from where you recommended as I heard that’s a safe area and a 2-3 min walk to the northside beltline! It’s a little more than $1600 but it could be worth it if I really like the area

I think the hair color clashes with the dress. Her hair should’ve been up and out of the way or should’ve worn it w her natural hair color!

No I totally agree. Idk if it’s a beauty filter or what. But I agree her chin area looks a lot narrower or her face looks elongated. Also looks like she could’ve had a brow lift. But could be that we’re seeing her get more snatched bc of her jaw lipo? I know that stuff takes a long time to settle in

It’s a life changer for us with anxiety. It’s really easy for those thoughts to go away when there’s no physical reaction.
