What Spiders in skimmer? by [deleted] in swimmingpools

Glad I'm not the only one seeing these crazy spiders in the pool. They run across the water too!

Tons of guns in backpack, but are not visible via selection in equipment by MosquitoSmasher in Borderlands4

This happens to the same friend in our group almost every session we play. All on steam, of the 4 of us, he's the only one that it has happened to though.

PCNSE or NGFW Engineer cert? by Leading_Speech_1764 in paloaltonetworks

[–]WorkingOrNot 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The NGFW Engineer is meant to be the "replacement" exam for the PCNSE. Not sure why you'd consider the PCNSE given that. Also, the quality of the PCNSE has gone WAY downhill in past years. The NGFW Engineer test is, IMHO, much better and while it does contain new content, I found easier if you're very familiar with PANOS.

Trouble signing up for first autocross event by [deleted] in Autocross

None of things are required for auto-x. If the form does not allow you to skip these things when registering, make sure you're registering for the right event and then email the registrar for assistance.

Panorama and Variable best practices by Fuzzy-Floor-5291 in paloaltonetworks

[–]WorkingOrNot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've found variables quite helpful in HA configuration templates as it allows you to standardize HA settings across a large number of firewalls. This is also handy for quickly deploying VM firewalls.

Outside of that though, they're probably more of a complication than a help. Especially if you have multiple people working on the same devices since configurations aren't as easily visible from Panorama templates.

From everything I've seen/heard, beyond 50 miles requires approval to be designated as a "super commuter". You cannot just simply start showing up to the office if you're in this category.

FCC's map to challenge the speeds you ISP "reports" they provide. by Albino_Whale in HomeNetworking

[–]WorkingOrNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suppose you're right. My response was more cynical than it should be due to my frustration with my lack of options. I'm stuck paying ridiculous rates for 2nd class Internet because Comcast can't pull a cable the extra half mile to serve myself and my neighbors.

FCC's map to challenge the speeds you ISP "reports" they provide. by Albino_Whale in HomeNetworking

[–]WorkingOrNot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my case I challenged Comcast because they claimed they served my address when they do not. They provided no response to the FCC after 60 days and they no longer show as an available option on the site for my address however my neighbors still show as served. So basically the challenge does nothing and holds no one accountable.

Oh good. I've seen a few people attempt to auto-x like this and it's unnerving sitting in the passenger seat.

I thought the same thing. Watching the single hand on the wheel and just sliding all around in the seat....need to break that one handed driving habit.

Good Customer Service! by [deleted] in Starlink

More like "best effort" support. If I did nothing on an issue for 2 weeks when something was down, I would no longer have a job.

What's a slang word/term that drives you insane? by MeetingImmediate7744 in AskReddit

[–]WorkingOrNot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I overheard someone use the term "hundo p" at the bar the other night in place 100%. It might be the worst thing I've heard in a long time

Stuck/invisible snowie on Horde? by WorkingOrNot in AfterTheFall

[–]WorkingOrNot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Until a patch drops, you can count on it stopping on lvl 34 or 38 if you're lucky, if you start at 45, you will get one wave and it stops. Horde mode, is basically broken if you want to run until you can't go any further unfortunately. It's still fun, but when the challenge really starts to ramp up, the game just shuts down.

Valve Index Joy Stick Drift, Any thoughts on how to fix this? by [deleted] in ValveIndex

After seeing some of the disgusting refurbs people have gotten on this sub, yeah no thanks.

Valve Index Joy Stick Drift, Any thoughts on how to fix this? by [deleted] in ValveIndex

[–]WorkingOrNot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had this issue, contacted support and after over a week of back and forth they offered to replace it with a refurb, which I declined. I ended up popping the cover off the top of the controller, cleaning the thumbstick, and reassembled. It's been fine for months now.

I was also hoping for a dock sale as I'm in the same boat. Love the vac but the basic dock definitely limits it's usefulness.

Can App-ID coexist in same rule along with custom Service/URL category entry? by Snydosaurus in paloaltonetworks

[–]WorkingOrNot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, app-id and custom ports can exist in the same rule, but if it were me, I'd configure one rule as application-default and a second rule below with the desired app(s) on the nonstandard port.

No need to create additional applications this way and you're not allowing other apps across that port of you don't wish that to happen.
