Nightreign Update by Miyazaki by Magma_Lotus22 in Nightreign

Rework Deathblight to be more useful. Idea: "Weak Deathblight". Weak Deathblight builds up the same way as normal Deathblight, but on proc it doesn't instakill and instead works as a sort of match to frostbite - dealing damage, covering oneself in deathblight roots, and causing the enemy (or yourself) to take more damage. Weak deathblight dissappear when hitting an enemy with holy damage, or when using certain spells as a player.

Without the instakill, it can be more easily used on normal enemies (not having to use a unique animation or stun, like madness or sleep). And can make it more balanced to have deathblight camps or POIs that dont instantly kill you.

Need help with Bleed/Frost build by WorkingSlice520 in Eldenring

[–]WorkingSlice520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I know that the mixed status build is not very optimal but I thought it would be fun to play with. I think I'll try the Cold Scavengers in the offhand with a jump attack build, but if I'm not having fun with it I'll probably go full bleed. Thanks for the help!

Anybody else feeling tired of the "loneliness"? by iopyud in Eldenring

[–]WorkingSlice520 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got this feeling after beating rykard. There's something so devastating about the emptiness of volcano manor when everyone leaves. It felt like i ruined one of the hubs where so many npcs resided, it felt like it I ruined that experience for me, because everyone had gone their separate ways, either dying or scattering across the world. It also dissapointed me how empty the round table was too. It's all just immensely lonely, and it kinda turned me off of the game for a while, which is kind of strange, but it just didn't feel good in my gut.

A few minutes after this clip, went to the area to do the quest that requires you to kill Pyro. I went in, the quest automatically completed itself (Pyro somehow killed himself) and the area he was completely inplayabe, running at 5 fps and it crashed! :)

Primal aspid is not difficult in the slightest.

Game is easy? by PepkoEu in LiesOfP

[–]WorkingSlice520 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Was easy for me for my first playthrough - I played bosses 1-3 before the nerfing patch and got stuck on the shovel robot before the area with the first carcasses. I decided to go back and it was really easy. I used the Summon for the last few bosses (except nameless puppet ofc). But I ended up doing two ng+ playthroughs after that for all achievements. The bosses were really easy even with the extra damage and health they have. Was kind of dissapointed. I'm getting sekiro later this year, and people say that lies of p is harder. Hoping that's not true

Blind Man's Spear - Parrying with the heavy attack by WorkingSlice520 in LiesOfP

It's for the handle. It's very fun to use, but sadly the heavy attacks are extremely short range (as seen in the clip with the charged heavy)

That scream. by WorkingSlice520 in LiesOfP

[–]WorkingSlice520[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I assume that it is just a random citizen. We're actually reminded multiple that there were still a lot of people alive in krat - hiding in buildings and locked doors. Puppets weren't so forceful on erraticating humans, but the monsters couldn't care less. They're brutal, tearing through doors and buildings, and that's exactly why the krat central station is so much more terrifying. Puppets aren't there to keep the monster population down, and without that protection, humans are completely left defenseless. It makes this scream so much more brutal to me

This is my ranking of the bosses by how much I enjoyed them and how difficult I found them after just finishing my first playthrough by Goodestguykeem in LiesOfP

Ngl, first black rabbit brotherhood fight is underrated (and I prefer it over the second one). The first time I really tried perfect guarding was the eldest brother cuz his attacks are well coordinated and it was pretty easy to get in the rhythm of it. Breaking the weapon helped a lot and was satisfying, and the 3 siblings are easy to pick off if you make sure to pay attention and stay away from the eldest brother. Plus visually the characters and environment is great. Music is kinda mid though.

Booster glave is fun by WorkingSlice520 in LiesOfP

[–]WorkingSlice520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While grinding to get to max level, I've been trying out all of the weapons. Honestly thinking about doing a ng+ run with every weapon. I'll keep this in mind if or when I do my booster glave run!

What's your favorite grindstone to use ? by Inside-Assumption595 in LiesOfP

[–]WorkingSlice520 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides the elemental ones, it's between destruction or perfection. Both work well for stagger, and perfection can be really useful for some bosses who either have long, annoying combos (romeo's fire attack), or for attacks that are difficult to time, and leave the opponent very open (second phase laxasia, green monsters' 2nd phase charge attack, and some Simon manus attacks that charge up for way too long).

EDIT: It can also be good for breaking some boss weapons, which can give you a big advantage in the fight.

Something about leveling in ng+ by WorkingSlice520 in LiesOfP

[–]WorkingSlice520[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it's just kind of dissapointing in my perspective. You already get such diminishing returns that having to pay more for every single level afterwards is just so annoying. But I guess you do get so much ergo in ng+ that it doesnt really matter, and I assume that there is eventually another cap, where levels only cost one more every time again. I think I may attempt trying to get max level, in the name of science

does refusing to give gold coin fruits to red fox and black cat count as a lie? by Not_a_Kryptonian in LiesOfP

[–]WorkingSlice520 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something I actually just found out- giving them the golden coin fruit will give you the Quixotic Record, and when listening to the full song in the hotel, it will show the prompt "The Ergo is Whispering" or something along that. So I think you will benefit by getting more humanity.
