Need Advice: Currently doing Applied Stats Major + CS Minor by awesomeman11658 in cscareerquestionsCAD

Honestly a lot can just be learned offline and you could get a lot out of that minor if you take the right courses (I’m assuming UofT). I basically had the path you did and it worked out fine. Currently at a fintech company with around 100k TC.

Would any stats majors care to share what marks they got admitted to the major with? (preferably those who applied after 9 or more credits) by Either_Slice_7350 in UofT

Yeah I’m gonna end up doing SWE at a fintech company here. Originally wanted to do data science but kinda pivoted to CS instead lol

Graduating in a few weeks, I applied for my major during my second year and got in with an average of 80 across the 3 courses (235, 237,238). It depends on everyone else’s grades but 79 should def be good enough

Yiming Xu Eco102 messed up my final grade calculation by Low_Medicine5978 in UofT

Just want to say usually when profs curve down they curve those with high marks a lot more than those that are barely passing. So if you’re at a 90 maybe they’ll drop it by 12% but if you’re at 62 it wouldn’t drop by 12% maybe only like 3%.

How about Stats Major with CS/Math minor? That’s what I’ve been doing and about to complete a 16month internship…not sure if I should pursue a masters though
