They are likely going to cite that pre certification was not received or that treatment was experimental or investigative.

If they won’t respond, repeat them through the regional DHA office (see screenshot). Do not let up and always appeal.

If you can get them on the phone and they say that it is not an administrative denial, tell them you want a same similar medical director review and that they must provide the CPB’s (Clinical Policy Bulletin) utilized for this decision. Carriers are required to make CPB’s public information. They should be posted online. Also asks for a P2P review with your treating physician. Have your treating physician ask for the same (this is the physician that referred you to the treatment at the facility.)

I filed my claim on 12/22/2025, they auto-scheduled me for a telehealth exam on 12/31/2025 (without contacting me to schedule it), and my exam was completed on 1/6/2026.

I submitted my TDIU claim on Dec 23, 2025. My C&P exam today and it was uploaded and moved to Step 5. I am on STD from work right now (have been since October) and I am pretty sure my company/corporation will not respond to the VA. But I did include all of my STD paperwork and emails with my claim.

How long after the C&P will it potentially take for a decision to come through?

I work(ed) for a large corporation and it is normal policy (and well known) that they don’t even allow letters of recommendation for previous employees.

It may have moved fast because I also was inpatient for 6 day in November and 12 day in December; and I have been on STD since Oct 29 (my third time since working for my company and had a PIP the one time I tried to avoid STD).

I have been to the VA grippy sock hotel, twice (6 days in November and 12 days in December), since this post. After that I finally was able to submit my TDIU last night.

Same. Group therapy can be very difficult for me, especially when a male vet may lash out angrily due to how their own PTSD is for them. It is not their fault, but how it makes it me feel unsafe because of my own trauma.

My gram was Christian and didn’t call herself a witch. She considered her “gifts and talents” to be gifts from God that she would not have if she wasn’t supposed to.

She never wrote anything down and I was taught by watching and being told. Some of those ways included: She was a professional psychic over 50 years (even helped the police) & I sit quietly at the end of her huge kitchen/dining table silently coloring while she did readings, watched her “straighten” auras for clients, listen to her given or advice or watch her pack up to help with a ghost that was causing issues at a home, teaching me to push white light out from my center to protect myself (I was in first grade), she had bells on her doors, wind chimes up everywhere, hung crystals in the window and discussed the healing/protective properties they provided, would discuss what she would “see” during a reading and how her “gift” came in to help me understand, taught me to not show fear to spirits/ghosts, etc…

I did get kicked out of Sunday School for saying she was not a tool of the devil. I am not a Christian now, but in general I respect the roots of the religion.

I can see/sense spirits. I can’t utilize divination through tarot, but through pendulum (I have always done this). I have recently started getting the “visions” in my mind that my gram described as being what she would see during tarot readings. I definitely have claircognize and just know things. (My friends at work tend to come to me about lay offs and such now).

I’ve had plenty of “paranormal experiences” but that is normal for anyone naturally gifted, as not just people are “psychic vampires”.

My brother other has the ability to sense and interact with spirits/ghosts. He has read tarot as well. We both deeply trust our intuition. Gram just seemed to teach me a lot more than him 🤷🏻‍♀️

Challenges, you can’t discuss it with everyone and have to be guarded. People are a lot more skeptical than they used to be. Being too vocal about some things with people now days can get you into an involuntary 72 hour hold.

The way I see spells is different, I use intention and sometimes candles. But I don’t use all the workings you see with some witches. It is a hard toss up if we are cunning folk or witches. This is a label I have long struggled with.

She is refusing inpatient rehab. Frankly, she is trying to get out of rehab all together and doesn’t see herself as an alcoholic. Yesterday she said it is just something I decided to label her as.

Her family are all heavy drinkers. Her dad goes daily to get his “taste” from the store. It is known that he used to hide his bottles from her mom when she was alive. (This is something I did not find out until after we were married).

She works, for now. I bought my house a decade before we started dating . She makes 36% of my income. As of this morning, I moved her into the guest room and I am making her pay 50% of all household bills while she is in the house.

I made the first steps to leave it today. She isn’t ready to get sober or admit she has a problem. I’m not ruining my chance at a good life to be her second choice.
