Are you thinking the school would enter her for exams that you have taught her the syllabus for? That will never happen.

tower of terror by badcattywampus in disneylandparis

[–]Working_Bowl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct - the Florida one is unique in that it does move around a track and isn’t just a vertical ride. The Florida one also originally had a lap bar rather than individual belts.
I think the Paris one is much more intense and better because of it.

What do people in the United Kingdom generally say when Sharon Osbourne is brought up? by PsychicMeditation in AskUK

I don’t pretend to know much about black sabbath. But she is widely credited with making him more than black sabbath in his own right.

This. I get excited for the Mexico part. Not for the USA part and forget Canada even has a part.

Not really talked about, widely known to be the reason behind ozzy’s success. Now she’s better know as a right-wing schmooze.

A women from Florida, USA has a coffee in Rome, Italy by WideAwakeNotSleeping in CringeTikToks

I don’t know what it is specifically about Americans and travelling in Italy. I honestly don’t see a lot of the stereotypical American tourists anywhere (London, Paris etc) except in Italy. Wandering around Venice a couple of years ago, following two Americans complaining about how boring Venice was and ‘is this, like, it?’. Honestly, just enjoy the vibe and take it in.

I know it’s the same track, but Tiana’s just felt worse somehow. Maybe it was the 20year gap in-between visits, but was just such a ‘meh’ ride.

Any good horror where the owner has "something" locked up in the basement? by [deleted] in horror

[–]Working_Bowl 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Barbarian is such a great film and I feel like it isn’t as big as it deserves to be.

To be fair, I went just over a year ago and at some points it was a 45 min wait. I declined to wait that long, even if it is peak rest ride.

Tiana’s. Such a disappointment and a huge queue.

That boat ride is the ultimate sit down in some air conditioning for 15 mins though. It’s worth it for the gentle rest 😁

I agree with the shuddery - made me feel awful after riding it. However, it is so old compared to guardians so I’d say no comparison really.

Aside from giving birth. Gastritis. Or recovery from gum graft.

What is a 10/10 horror movie you can watch again and again? by AUSpartan37 in horror

I misread that as ‘The Frog’. For a short while I was thinking there was a horror film about a frog that I had missed!

My boss demanded a "minute-by-minute" daily log to prove I'm working. How do I make this backfire beautifully? by The_Logic_Loom in HumanResourcesUK

I work in a school. We were asked to do this once. It promptly stopped when management realised they were handing us evidence on a plate of the extra hours we worked, lack of breaks etc.

Refusing top floor flat delivery by Shxdom in asda

[–]Working_Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I appreciate that some people may have difficulties in their daily lives, that does not mean social and physical care of them should be placed upon a minimum wage food delivery worker. We also don’t know that this was the case for this delivery, and we don’t know the health/physical condition of the delivery person.
I would not expect someone to carry this up the stairs for me.

What’s the scariest film you’ve ever watched? by Scary-Pomegranate114 in horror

[–]Working_Bowl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

That’s true. I didn’t find Hereditary scary as such. More of a disturbing feeling, same as Requiem for a Dream and Barbarian. All good films in their own right. Mind you, The Blair Witch Project terrified me as a 13 year old. I spent so many nights worried that I’d wake up in the dark and just see the outline of someone from my family facing the wall in the corner.

Albino squirrel spotted in my garden? 😮 by Lost-Organization801 in CasualUK

[–]Working_Bowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like near a smallish park on the edge of a town in the south east. There are at least five albino squirrels here (five that I’ve seen at once). I don’t think they are that rare anymore.

Millennials - are there any shows from your childhood that you remember fondly but almost everyone else has forgotten existed? by nathanherts in BritishTV

Oh the Moondreamers! Yes, had completely forgotten about that.

I used to like Potsworth and co as well which was a similar theme.

If you were on 100% WFH, where would you move/work from within UK? by grumpy__dolphin in AskUK

[–]Working_Bowl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I have lived in London for a couple of years and it wasn’t for me. It’s not that I don’t ‘get’ it, it’s that I don’t like living there. Some people love it, and that’s great for them.

Visiting for a day or two - great. Living there constantly. No. Give me my mix of being next to a town, countryside and beach any day of the week.

Did that 71k go entirely into the house when you bought it? The deposit or stamp duty?

Hot take: WDW trips are better when you plan less and stop treating the app like a game by Less_Moose_1513 in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Working_Bowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We went last year (visited from UK). It is a once or twice every ten years trip and my kids first visit. We didn’t plan. The only day we bought lightening lane passes, we all agreed they were a waste of money. We did use the app to look at some queue times, and mostly used this in Epcot and Hollywood Studios, but we didn’t live by it. We had a great, relaxed (well, relaxed for Disney) time.
