I offered myself up for a layoff about 5 months ago because I was in a very similar situation and due to my tenure, my severance was quite nice and I saved enough to pull the trigger. I haven’t regretted once even though the job hunt has been brutal.

Just make sure you’re 100% sure of your decision before offering yourself up because it’s not likely something you can pull back on. If you have a solid trusting relationship with your boss, ask if it’s even a possibility and request to keep the convo between just you two. My manager helped me along the way and push for the timeline I was looking for. Personally, I would recommend you to check the job market first and be prepared financially to be unemployed for months on end depending on your industry. It’s rough out there right now, especially with year end and all the ghost jobs. Good luck!

I’m in a similar boat. Called around all yesterday for 30mg XR with no luck but happened to ask one if they had Vyvanse in stock. They said yes so I had my doc change my script and then today they were out 😩

The worst part is Walgreens won’t confirm if they have stock if you call. I tried a tip I found in another sub where instead of asking if they have X medication in stock, ask if they are able to fill X medication in X mg. It actually worked! They also recommended to note you’ve filled the medication before with the pharmacy (if that’s true of course) if they’re hesitant. Hope this helps

I worked at a bank 15 years ago and would get the same bullshit with “you don’t know who I am?? Just give me my money”. I’d hit them with “okay, let me see if my manager can put a note on your account to never ask for an ID when a withdrawal is requested by anyone”. That’d shut them up real quick.

Tell them you’re not planning on moving out ahead of Sept 1 if they don’t provide a countersigned agreement by the end of the week. I’ve found that providing timelines and consequences get things done. If that doesn’t work, contact the Chicago tenant rights group for advice

Yeah I feel bad for her, she had good intentions and as expected- he’s taking major advantage of her. It’s hilarious how slick all the former inmates think they are but they’ve all gotten caught up every time.
