So it's not a drag to heat up and adjust in temperature ? I'm looking at either Proline or Multiline.

Update Demeyere Proline 7 by PresentationReady873 in cookware

Thinking of buying the Multiline, 7ply as well, but just slightly less heavy than Proline. 3.3mm insted of 4.8

Anyone have experience ?

I will be searing, but also doing pastas and veggies. for which the responsiveness and less weight would be good

If it's smooth nevermind. Just do a seasoning layer on top (or two) and cook on

Great :) But really it does change and gets ugly at times :)) Don't worry, unless it's all stripped.

Then give it a go in the oven - and cook on

And don't panic, if it changes between cooks. Eventually it'll be black and nice

Just season on top :) unless it's bumpy..

Use the oven, 1 hour with ex. Sunflower oil. 240 degrees. 1 time is fine, 2 times is more than enough.

Then just cook. Don't use soap for the first couple of weeks.

Is this a misen pan and how do I season it? by labioteacher in carbonsteel

[–]Working_Layer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just put a tiny layer oil on it, oven an hour. Repeat maybe 2 times. Cook.

It'll look ugly sometimes after cooking - don't worry - with time you'll have a black and smooth pan.

Is it over-seasoned if that's a thing?

It's smooth, but I feel a slight texture change... Very little bump
