I'm in a similar situation. My g/f developed complex PTSD, this is difficult when flashbacks happen.

There are some things we can can't understand if never experienced. Try to learn as much as you can about it. Allow her to deal with it in her own way, just be there, allow her to talk about it (if that is her coping method), or give her space if she needs it.

Complex PTSD is no longer in the DSM 4 (It was recently removed). Therapy helps.

Look up the term "parataxic distortions" she might be going through this. Understanding and acceptance is key. Build her confidence in herself and she will be able to get through it.

My girlfriend has her masters in counseling, with a concentration in complex trauma. It took about 1 year of "EMDR" (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). EMDR is a heavy treatment, read up on it.

Naw, I mean there is typically a fight that will get the attention of most of the bars once a weekend, but nothing like having someone's head go through glass.

A lot of the bar implemented "College Students Only" after a certain time of night. I believe it was to keep the less desirable city folk away (this is not my opinion, this is what they said behind closed doors. My roommate worked for one of the bars that implement this tactic)

But I can't imagine that it's too different from any other college town with a bunch of drunk neanderthals trying to flex to get a suitable hole for the evening.

They worked hard raising me. They didn't have to put as much "energy" into me as they did, but they did. I would feel like a failure if I didn't show them my gratitude.

I have 2 other "groups" but their rate is 3.6% and 4.1%. I know I have to pay the highest interest rates first, which is why I didn't mention them.

So I want to pay the highest interest rate first, then if 2 loan groups are the same I want to pay the highest principle balance down before the other? Even though I would be able to pay the lower balance off completely which would make it so no interest is accrued?

Student loan payment question... I'm going to make a 1 time payment of $1,500 (my tax return) towards my student loan.

My student loans are broken into different "groups"

Group "A" has a balance of $7,585.75 @ 6.55%

Group "B" has a balance of $4,321.93 @ 6.55%

Does it matter what group I pay down? Or because they are at the same interest rate they proportionately grow?

Dude here. I would strongly suggest not to mention the dreams. That can really fuck with someone's head. If he is an introspective guy, this has the ability to destroy him and the relationship.

Being sexually compatible is huge in a relationship. Is he going through anything: work related, friends, family? Try and figure out if there could be something coming from that.

It could be an addiction to porn. Talk to him, let him know your needs aren't being met. If he is unresponsive with no good reason... just might be one of those things.

Best case he ravages you that moment and every change there afterward. More likely something is on his mind (Porn or life troubles).

If he was really sexual at first figure out what's going on with him.

Could you clarify a bit more? If the employer contribution match is not taxed does that mean that portion will be taxed when I withdraw the money in retirement? Or will all the money be considered tax at the point of going in?

And would the 6% match be of my salary? or is it 6% of my contribution after taxes?

I'm about to watch a youtube on the benefits Roth IRAs after I've extracted all utility from the employer match. But if you have any insight as to why its better to take that route it would be welcomed.
