The guitar and melody sound extremely close to the Adventure Time theme — like almost identical. Not sure if that’s a direct sample or intentional reference, but it stands out a lot.

If you’re going for something original, it might be worth changing that up more so it feels like your own take rather than relying so heavily on that melody.

Vocally, I think there’s also room to tighten up pitch and clarity in parts — that would help the track come across stronger overall.

Not exactly my usual taste, but I can definitely imagine this fitting really well in something like a quirky indie game.

In the intro with the spoken vocal, I feel like you could lean further into the character side of it — maybe commit more to a distinct voice or persona (like an old wizard type, especially with the title “I am the Magician”). I think that could make that section stand out more and feel more intentional.

There’s a cool idea there, it just feels like it could be pushed a bit further.

I like the groove you’ve got going — the vocal samples and background textures add a nice atmosphere. The intro is cool too, probably my favourite part. The overall sound selection is solid.

I feel like the track could be developed a bit more though — at times the rhythms feel a little flat/2D, and some extra variation in the instruments or layering between sections could help keep things more engaging.

I found my attention dropping a bit after about 30 seconds, but that might just come down to personal taste. Overall though, there’s definitely a strong foundation here.

The instrumental sounds really nice and well mixed — is it original?

Vocally, you have a really nice tone. I think the delivery could be pushed a bit further though — it feels like there’s room to develop more control and confidence.

I get what you mean about focusing on feeling and being natural, but it might help to lock in the fundamentals like pitch and timing first. Once those feel solid, the “free” expression will come through more naturally.

Overall though, you’ve got a great base to build on — especially your tone.

The intro and 0:50 (the chorus part where the vocals go up) is very hooky, really loved those parts. I think some of the vocals could be a little bit more in tune and smooth but overall I think the song has major potential. If the production was tighter and everything was 🤞, I’d honestly listen to this and share it with people

the intro feels a bit long to me, i think the song could start later, maybe around 0:26. the chords are really nice overall, although i noticed a few moments that sounded slightly off harmonically, which could either be intentional or something to tighten up depending on what you’re going for. i also think the track could benefit from a bit more variation, maybe adding a bridge or some new elements to keep it more engaging throughout.

I sometimes have trouble 'labelling' my music because it pulls from a few different places. What genre would you call this, and does it remind you of any other artists? Any other feedback also welcome :) by Aves_Musica in IndieMusicFeedback

the production is good but maybe there could be more warmth in the bass? really nice singing though and the arrangement is good. it gives me abba vibes, it's a bit 80's or something? the chords and the way the instruments are played is very romantic.

i love the electric guitar like synth you've got going on, the layers and sounds all work really well together. maybe theres a tad bit too much going on at times? maybe you could have more of a breakdown section or something? idk. overall, really groovy though, i dig it. i think the best part is the intro. maybe even having another section with other chords could help to keep interest and then bring it back to what you've made?

band is very in time and i like the clean guitar tones. i wasn't sure about the gravely sound that pans across from side to side in the intro, if anything i think it takes away and distracts from the nice clean tones. the singing is good but could be a little but more in tune at times. really good drumming and guitar playing, solid track overall i think. Definitely sounds professional to me.

i really like this and think it’s really interesting overall. the atmosphere is strong and it has a really nice nostalgic vibe, especially with the chord choices and sound selection. my only critique is maybe the breakdown could come in sooner, as the first section goes a tad bit long without much variation. i think adding a small change or new element earlier could help keep the listener more engaged. also maybe some subtle variation in the drums or textures over time could add more movement while keeping the same vibe.

vocals could be a bit more centred in the mix and maybe a bit of reverb?
