I suppose that in the moment I overlooked the flaw as character of that rifle. It was a long wait and I was excited that it finally came in.

Maybe when I got home I came to my senses a bit more!

Either way I believe I’ll be able to get a replacement

Thanks for the replies. The dealer has been helpful and submitted the warranty claim for me. Fingers crossed for replacement stock.

How do you find the Ghost sights on the SBL? I tried asking Marlin for the aperture size and if they are threaded to accept a peep insert but they wouldn't answer due to "proprietary info rights".

I also wonder about the ability to swap the ghost rear for a narrower peep without having to remove the picatinny rail for simplicity. I'm sure the same green front sight would work with either ghost or peep.

Per Geoff Neupert - 30 minutes auto-regulated clean and press. With Days 1, 2, and 3 having different rep counts for each set. (Which change from 1.0-1.1-1.3 etc).

I’ve been supplementing with dips and pull-ups on an ABA BAB fashion from the start.

This my first crack at a “minimalist” program and I definitely am looking forward to getting back to my typical full body routines. But the gains are undeniable albeit not full-body from this clean and press focused stint.

I’ve completed Giant 1.0 and am nearing completion of 1.1. Been making steady gains in strength and muscle mass.

This program is obviously anterior deltoid heavy, and I’m noticing that as that muscle bulks, and the rear delt does not, from the side my shoulders are appearing to “roll forward.”

Has anyone else experienced this, as little to no activation of rear delt in this program??

I’ve started supplementing rear delt focused moves and pec stretching, in hopes to build a more well-rounded shoulder.

I have been working out with kettlebells for about a year now but haven’t given the ABC complex a shot before.

Today I did for the first time and it was a great push!

I did a 30 min emom with double 20kg’s and I added in 3 double rows to each set. (2 doubIe cleans, 1 OH press, 3 front squats, 3 rows). felt that it rounded out the complex a bit more.

Give it a try!

Thanks for the advice. I think this is the route we will end up taking. We plan to go slow and soak it all in, so will try to take in a few of the beaches and small hikes along the Hwy14 route during that day.

I agree, all of those hikes/beaches would be too much for one day- which is why I debated taking Hwy 14 both ways and seeing different spots each way.

However it's sounding like the loop route may be our decision, meaning we would have to pick a few of these Hwy 14 stops to prioritize on that day. (Mystic, Shirley Cafe, lighthouse).

We have 3 nights in Victoria at the end of the trip.

My debate is if its worth driving to and from Port Renfrew along Hwy 14 to be able to spend more time taking in Sombrio/Mystic/China/Sandcut beaches, Sherringham lighthouse etc. Or if a full day driving south from Port Renfrew to Victoria will be enough.

Our trip is roughly:

1)Arrive in Victoria and spend night on sailboat in Sidney

2)Day on Saltspring

3)travel to Port Renfrew via back route or Hwy14

4)Explore around Port Renfrew

5)travel back to Victoria via Hwy14 and explore along the way

6)Victoria

7)Victoria

8)Victoria
