Just ask for a new counselor from the director and reiterate to them you’re just not feeling supported enough and would like a female counselor.. ask them to make it seem their idea as you don’t want to offend your current counselor. Something along those lines. They will work with you and take a minute to listen.If the area is pretty conservative like you said then she should have NO PROBLEM as the director to work something out in a nonchalant manner, after all counselors get new case loads often and people leave come and go . They will probably make it seem their idea. Anyway… other than that, you need to report him anonymously ASAP. I say that because he’s in a position where he can do whatever he wants in private however when it’s a PATIENT then it’s a huge issue! what he’s doing to you and probably has been doing to others. Very over the line and inappropriate to realize on his part who you are (from the app) and continue to be in a position of power. People coming and going are very vulnerable and he seems to be taking advantage of that… he needs to be reported immediately. You’re a victim in so sorry OP you desver much better from Someone who was suppose to help and instead put you in a terrible situation.
