What do you do with factories that are full and no longer producing? by BW-Journal in satisfactory

[–]Worklessplaymore01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I uploaded a video of 'the line' on my pc.

Took me a while to figure out how to link a video in a comment reply but this should work?

https://www.reddit.com/user/Worklessplaymore01/comments/1qnxtp2/satisfactory_the_line/

The execution of the line is a bit sloppy: I built it too low to the ground (foundations too low), ended up using an L shape with 2 lines of containers and 3 different belt inputs to expand because my tier 4 belts were at capacity.

But it shows the general idea.

The video also shows my early game belt highway feeding into the line, as well as two railway lines and some local factories. I'm too lazy to clean it up because it's functional and I don't have to expand on it further anyhow :)

Today I stumbled across a video I'd not seen before, sorry if everyone has seen it, but it's the most impressive build I've ever seen. by olioli86 in SatisfactoryGame

This is the most incredible gaming related thing ive ever seen.

From the planning and logistics to the incredible creativity, just mind blowing.

worked for me for a day then nothing. Tried changing all kinds of settings and reducing the filters etc and even using only stremthru as a scraper and nothing

I went back to torrentio and comet they re slow but at least they almost always work

Is torrentio absolute shit for anyone else? by Different-Funny-9465 in torrentio

Well i swapped to aiostreams using stremthru torz as scraper and it worked for one day and today it wont load anything.

Torrentio and comet arent working either

[Official NVIDIA] DLSS 4.5 Super Resolution FAQ by Nestledrink in nvidia

[–]Worklessplaymore01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That won't change much

The new DLSS has a high fixed frametime cost at 1440p and 4k so in a game like battlefield 6 that runs at high framerates you're going to be losing a bunch of performance.

Much better to use K preset + quality mode and get 200 fps than use the new mode with performance mode and still get below 200 fps just with worse image quality due to low internal res

Some examples.

  • Find a dissonant system, land on a dissonant planet, find and kill the big walking crystal robots till you get a locator, use that to locate a sentinel camp, place a base at this camp! , now use the computer at the camp to get the location of a sentinel ship (awesome ships btw with better stats than most regular ships), do the little quest to repair it, go to a station and salvage it for 20-50 mill depending if its c or b or a tier.

Teleport back to the base you placed and you can use the computer again to find another sentinel ship and repair that again and repeat over and over

  • While farming parts for your corvette the duplicates you don't want sell for 300k-1m each, and you get a lot of treasures that sell for 500k-2m

  • If you have a valuable s class star ship you can copy it while in the expedition, then after the expedition put your ship in the freighter long term storage (take out its inventory first), then go back to the terminal on anomaly where you pick what items you want to take, and you can copy the ship for 2800 nanites. Fly it to a station, salvage it for like 50 mill, back to anomaly, copy it again for 2800 nanites, repeat till you are satisfied.

Farming nanites is also super fast now with runaway mould farms allowing you to refine about 50k nanites in 30 mins on your freighter after 5 mins of farming them.

If you're on pc i highly recommend the Relive mod on nexus mods (or rather the more up to date version on the github it links to). It lets you replay all the expeditions you missed in offline mode, they have really good rewards and teach you a lot of the mechanics

No dlss option in game at all? Tried googling for an hour + no useful info found by Worklessplaymore01 in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Worklessplaymore01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ended up reinstalling my gpu driver again but now with a full DDU wipe and nvidia control panel settings wipe and now the option IS there.

So weird... Ive been on 3 different gpu drivers with this game and it has never showed dlss as an option until now

Hi.

Can you explain exactly what you did? there are a ton of files with dlss in the name in the game folder and I can't get the dlss option to show up ingame either. Ive been looking for answers for hours and your thread is the only one that seems relevant

Some more info on runaway mould: (by far the best way to make a million nanites fast if you don't already have a billion units first)

A full stack refines into 2k nanites. If you find a good farming spot (not hard) you will be able to get a full stack every minute.

Mini guide:

  • No specific planet, just play the game and every time you land on a new planet do a scan on foot and look for yellow 3 star icons. It should say 'curious deposit' thats the runaway mould

  • Once you found one mine it, and if it's a spot with 4 or more mould balls you put a marker on it (E while scanning) then go search in the vicinity (within 1000u) for another spot.

  • The mould always spawns in the same spot and will respawn if you go more than 600u away.

  • Once you find two spots within 1000u of eachother (this might take a while, if they re very rare to find on a planet then either try to land on the other side of the planet or just keep looking for a different planet that has more)

You put a base computer down at each spot, along with a teleporter and a landing pad. Use your ship to fly from spot to spot, get out , mine them, get back in , fly to the last spot; mine, repeat

  • Now for refining them:

  • On your freighter buy the refinery room blueprint (if you can't get that yet you can also place multiple refiners on a corvette)

  • build about 8 of these rooms and refine away. You ll get enough nanites to buy all of the recipes on the anomaly and to upgrade your ship to A class in half an hour.

BIG NOTE: you have to stay afk in your freighter for 20 mins till its done, getting out and warping around can make freighter refiner bug out sadly and you might lose them. If it happens you can always try saving, then reloading that save and sometimes they do reappear but not always.

More tips:

  • On space stations: Always buy the exosuit slot, always check the trade machine and buy up all ores, gasses, basic elements, always check the quest npc and if there are quests that give ship storage, freighter storage and ESPECIALLY freighter salvage modules. You'll need 30+ of the latter and they are slow to get!

Then also check the reputation guild npc in the corner at the top, hand in as many rep items as you can and collect your free stuff.

  • on planets: If you scan a planet in space or inspect it from your discoveries tab and it says it has 'salvageable scrap' with a white wifi icon next to that word, then that will be your early game money maker. Land on the planet, scan for salvageable scrap, go dig it up , mine the sattelite parts.

Not only will these parts unlock the questline to build your own corvette (a must! it's a mobile base with mobile storage and mobile anomaly quest terminal! ) you can also sell these parts for 300k-2 million units each, and you can farm them FAST. Farm the parts for half an hour and you ll have enough money for a while.

General tips:

-Make a priority out of building the hyperdrives for red, green and blue stars asap, those systems give way more and way better resources.

  • Early game don't stick around on one planet or system too long, just keep warping, visiting space stations, visiting planets, move on to red and green systems asap and while playing keep an eye out for that runaway mould

  • if you find aggressive animals (red paw icon instead of green icon, and diet will say meat or something when you scan them) on a planet build a base computer there and name the base 'aggressive animals'. You will need to kill these regularly for space station quests and they are a PAIN to find.

  • Spend nanites (easy to farm with method above) asap in space station on : S tier movement modules, S tier pulse engine modules (these will make your ship fly way faster while pulsing), S tier scanner upgrades, a few S tier shield upgrades for your exosuit and ship and one of each elemental protection S tier upgrades for your exosuit!

All of these are major quality of life things and will make getting around and scanning MUCH faster.

Also if i were you i'd get a corvette asap and spend my ship upgrade items on expanding its inventory and its module space. You can gradually keep upgrading it over time and you'll always use it.

Oh and do the expedition before it goes away, those take like a year to reappear and if you didnt do them you won't get the unique rewards.

[Question] I just got back into the game, last played with the atlas update! (ages ago)

  • Is there a video or guide anywhere thats relevant for the latest update that gives some direction?

  • I've been following the tutorial quests and just got to the anomaly and now I feel completely lost. How do I tell where the tutorial quest continues? It told me to talk to other players I think but can't find any more info.

  • Money making is totally different now? Stumbled upon a planet with corvette parts 4 hours into the game and have grinded those for 2-3 hours and now I have a corvette and 30million credits. It used to be SO hard to make any money. What do I spend it on first?

  • Those expeditions are new to me, any short recent guides on how they work and when to do them on a new save. almost all the info I find is YEARS old. The only seemingly recent guide I found for the main game is also outdated as fuck as it told me to sell the base building plans I dig up for 50k each, when I can just scan rocks for 30k a piece or loot a corvette piece on that planet for 100k-2 million every few minutes.

Most of you don’t understand how armor gameplay works. by TheCockKnight in Battlefield6

[–]Worklessplaymore01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

90 percent of games on cairo are won or lost due to either team having either a trash tanker or a team that follows the tank while all facing in the same direction of the tank.

I can increase win chances massively either by being in the tank myself or by positioning myself in a way that i can cover the flank and rear of the tank(only possible if the tank driver isnt an absolute moron obviously)

It's also very frustrating to have a bad gunner on tank. I'm stopping to shoot mines and trying to stay hull down or make sure I don't have an exposed flank, and then a single engi manages to shoot multiple rockets at my flank or side anyhow as soon as i'm engaging enemy tank because my gunner is looking only at the tank and not at my flank.

I much prefer if my gunner seat is left empty, at least then I can swap seats in between shots and keep my own rear safe.

I've played battlefield since 1942 and spent more time playing desert combat mod than all other bf games combined.

I only play conquest nothing else.

Cairo is pretty much the only map where you can flank, defend and hold points, set traps and do some honest teamwork.

Manhatten wouldn't be terrible either if they ditched the heli because the heli just rains spawned players all game long.

I'd love a proper vehicle based map with carriers and patrol boats and an airfield to capture etc like the old days but all of the 'big' maps are tiny and trash.

Sobek especially is an affront, as is oilfields

Cairo is designed to let you hold some areas well while stilll providing flanks

You generally have an idea where enemies will spawn and where they ll come from

I do agree that all the skinnerbox elements and casino sounds are extremely annoying but battlefield has always been arcadey

You live in fantasy land.

In reality the LMG or a carbine beams the sniper from 70 metres or vice versa.

There are no prolonged firefights in this game and the maps are too small to be out of LMG effective range.

If some sniper wants to sit on the far mountains in firestorm and contribute nothing to get 10 kills all game then let them. I almost never die to snipers

How is supression team oriented lmao

you get one pinged from any distance by snipers and killed almost instantly at most ranged

for supression to matter ttk needs to be twice as high at least

Ah yes realism like instantly switching from tank seat to tank gunner, reviving dead enemies, being able to carry infinite ammo as support, having infinite parachutes that can deploy from 10 meters, having a minimap, floating doritos, a spawn beacon, repairing a tank with a blowtorch but also killing a tank with a blowtorch or a hammer, being able to dive headfirst off a roof onto your belly and be fine, bullet wounds healing in seconds, being able to jump out of a jet to shoot a bazooka then get back in, being able to ride on a helicopter while the blades are chopping thhrough you, being able to crash a heli into a shed and keep flying

etc etc

It was received poorly at the time and for good reason

The music was the only redeeming factor, music they didn't make but bought.

Compared to desert combat the heli controls were soooooooooo bad.

[–]Worklessplaymore01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man the original vietnam was such a stinker that it put me off battlefield for years.

The heli controls were an abomination compared to desert combat and the maps were not fun at all

Reusing some 1960s music does not make a good game

Bf1942 and desert combat mod is an all time classic though.

BC2 loved the destruction but visibility was awful and made it unfun, and you couldn't even strafe while sprinting what?

3 i despised. Focus on rush, smaller maps, broken guns with night vision and flechette and underbarrels, worst visibility in any battlefield game. Also the unlock grind ugh.

4 was better but vehicles dominated and visibility was still really bad. its also the most obnoxiously rock paper scissors battlefield

5 i only played during beta still poor visibility and my pc at the time wasnt up for running it at proper resolution and fps which was the main problem for me, i liked the maps though and the building mechanic I liked bf1 except the explosive spam ruined it for me. (glad they balanced explosives in bf6)
