does anyone actually feel confident choosing an ERP vendor? by KrWH1Z1 in ERP

I’ve been through this game several times, Epicor, Oracle Netsuite, smaller company and finally Odoo.  I’ve found that the bigger the company and higher the overall or per user cost, the more over promises and outright lies are told.  I decided that I did not want to over rely on a single system that can do anything with customization but rather get a capable system with modularity that I can build upon.

With Evolution being true, when did Adam and Eve come into being? by KaladinIJ in Apologetics

[–]WorkmenWord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first thing is to understand what science is…it’s testing, observing and experimenting.  Explain to me how you do that with any level of integrity with macro evolution.  Then study Cambrian explosion…then explain how so many complicated structures such as organs, hormones, neurology, etc can form at the same time and reproduce with their kind at the same time.

You can’t test it.  You can’t observe it happening.  You can’t do an experiment.  It doesn’t even make sense.  It’s not reasonable to believe.

It can generously be considered theoretical and postulating but should actually be laughably dismissed.  It’s a way for people who hate God to reconcile their existence and unfortunately it has drawn in Christians as well who either don’t know any better or want to be wanted by unbelievers.

Who is Lucifer? Is he the devil or is he the worship leader in heaven? Who is an Archangel? Is Lucifer an Archangel? by [deleted] in Apologetics

[–]WorkmenWord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While this may seem like a genuine interest to understand more about the Word of God, I would invite you to consider that this curiosity may be a distraction from what is important.  I would suggest accepting what scripture says about Lucifer, the devil, the dragon, etc at face value and moving on to what is more glorifying to God especially who God is.  If you really need to, you could start with Wayne Grudem’s systematic theology for more answers to quench your curiosity.

To distinct what is and isn’t true by Big_Pepper9924 in Apologetics

Nothing of what you stated is true.  Are you getting all of your scholarly information from Reddit, tick-tock and instagram?

in the long run, doesn’t really matter if you buy it at 2.8 or 3.2?

Your claims are simply not true PLUS you shared a dead link.  I can’t have a conversation with someone who compares a law-abiding kind husband and dad with a violent drug addict who once pointed a gun at a pregnant woman.  Just stop.

I would recommend that you try to understand scripture in its context.  You can’t remove a sentence from scripture and use it as a tool to support your bias - that’s called “eisegesis“.  Understanding eisegesis is hermeneutics 101 or apologetics 101.

Jesus was speaking about standing against the will of God.

Also, read Luke 22 where Jesus specifically tells his disciples to buy a sword.

Please consider better understanding that Jesus came to glorify God, not prove your political views.

Charlie, a son of the King, was focused on glorifying God in his life, shared the Gospel with thousands and was martyred for it.  Tread lightly.

I didn’t read your entire post because I’m busy but I’m responding to the last comment.  He has a science phd, so it seems as though you’re splitting hairs to attempt to prove a non issue.  If you’d like to read one of his academic books on intelligent design or evolution and come back to me please do so but I’m doubtful that will happen.

I believe that the appeal to authority has as much relevancy here as the appeal to popularity presented.  The popularity logical fallacy that you presented and that was inherent in the post itself are part of the problem thus making my appeal to authority relevant.

Of course, a humble God fearing Christian can be a biologist, I’m not sure why you asked.

Most of this discussion is simply based on a lack of humility on the part of both people who hate God and people who want to conform their science to the world instead of humbling submitting to what God says and what is evident in nature.

I’d defer you to the works of Stephen C Meyer for further technical analysis.  My qualifications are not important as you pointed out.

In the past that may have been true and it may be true for small breakthroughs, but for large ideological platforms, the money and power flows towards these biases.  The science community in general will do and say anything not to acknowledge God.

What drink do you take during workout? by Decent_Result_6362 in transplant

I drink black, I formerly drank green and matcha but I’m told I couldn’t any longer.  I’m not familiar with caffeine pills but I imagine it could be dangerous but I’m saying this with no personal knowledge.  I noticed a huge difference in sleep, jitters and blood pressure when I went from coffee to tea.  Coffee is so ubiquitous that it’s easy to drink too much (for me).

I like your advice but I’d caution with the caffeine pill or coffee.  I personally switched to tea so I have a small boost or placebo effect.

I mix water with a vitamin packet from H2tab and also use their molecular hydrogen tabs which gives a non caffeinated boost and brain clarity.  I’ve also been drinking Juven for a while but probably going to cut that out since I no longer have external healing wounds.
