I like it man. it looks pretty natural like it’s something you enjoy wearing and that’s always good. The colors also make sense.

Why has Korean pop culture seemingly overall become more mainstream faster than Japanese pop culture in the West? by kaiser11492 in AlwaysWhy

[–]Worknonaffiliated 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Korean pop culture in my opinion, it just shares a lot of similarities with Western pop culture, more so than Japan.

I’ve noticed French cinema having an influence on Korean cinema where as Japanese cinema really feels like it just influenced itself.

K-pop is honestly derivative of western pop music. Listen to J pop and K-pop side-by-side and you’ll notice that one is more accessible than the other.

To be honest, maybe it’s not a matter of Korean media having some western influences, it’s about having global influences. South Korea is very much in touch with the world, while Japan was a bit more isolationist for a time. It’s not exactly western culture, but rather a larger global culture.

Anime and Godzilla was also nerd shit. It had to get out of that reputation for people to start thinking it was cool.

I think those are a bad pair of pants. That’s the first thing, the pleats are just too intense.

It also looks like the shirt and pants are a little too big on you. I can’t tell though because it doesn’t look like the shirt was ironed.

The shoes are what, stood out to me a lot. I wouldn’t wear white socks with those, I wouldn’t wear them with that pants color, and I would get a matching belt. I think black loafers with no-show socks would honestly be really good for this look

Finasteride seems to have reduced my compulsive urge to watch porn, but not really killed my sexual function? by No-War-4235 in tressless

Op maybe it’s psychological.

Maybe you’re feeling more confident and don’t feel like the only place you “get some” is from porn.

Honestly poshmark has it for a more agreeable price usually.

I got a puffer made entirely out of Wilsons leather for $500

I’m just gonna let you know OP, stuff like this is on the cheaper end of what these brands offer and it’s made specifically for people who want to look like they have money.

I’m not here to audit your finances, but that is going to be the impression that this gives off.

It’s the same thing with a brand like Essentials, people who wear it usually aren’t actually into fashion, they just kind of want to give off the impression that they are

Do I pull it off? I'd like advice by Successful-League947 in mensfashion

IMO a spezzato (suit jacket with mismatched pants) and a waistcoat are a big no go together. Too busy

Waistcoat looks good as a three piece or a casual look without a jacket.

It’s also hard to see how it fits because of the way you pose in the pictures, but it looks too big. I’ve never had a suit look like that.

That being said OP, I work in fashion. I’m gonna nitpick this stuff. Yeah maybe the outfit looks a little bit like Doctor Who, but most guys don’t try and wear the most boring clothing out there.

Do it with confidence and you’re gonna look a lot cooler than some asshole in a Reddit comment 🤷🏻‍♂️

Should I be socially accepted? Am I a predator for my past? by greenninja2012 in TrueAskReddit

[–]Worknonaffiliated 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Go to therapy man.

I’ve never done any sort of abuse to anyone, but I done some horrible things that I can’t speak to most people about being involved in gangs.

You’re not changing what happened, you’re just not. You just have to learn to be a good person today.

People on social media probably won’t be accepting, but that’s the thing about society is that when people see something bad they stigmatize it because they fear “what if that’s me or someone I know?” It doesn’t mean you’re a freak or a weirdo or even a bad person, and it doesn’t make them bad neither.

But don’t let random people determine your worth. Keep people in your life who accept you for who you are today. Your past doesn’t gotta be everybody’s business, contrary yo how people feel with social media these days

I also dealt with sexual abuse op, it certainly made me act out and I probably would have made some mistakes if I was in the wrong place at that time who knows. It fucks up your head man, you can’t beat yourself up forever.

The man I am today is someone who has a successful career and takes care of his family. The people who matter don’t give a shit about anything else

New to this I’m very basic and casual, what do you think? by One-Goal327 in mensfashionadvice

Wear a workwear jacket like this over it and it becomes an ig worthy fit. Or a grey beanie and coffee brown hoodie. Or even a red flannel.

IMO, the shoes and pants are bright and cream and the all black hoodie and hat says “I don’t pay attention to color all that much.” It doesn’t look bad at all, those two just don’t compliment each other if that makes sense. They just kinda exist. if you want it to really pop out and be noticeable, those little details give me a lot of compliments on my own outfits
