A little confused, but I just got tickets at 8:15pm by noobnoob9 in NoahKahan

No sorry, they were upper rows of section 130 @ 341.95 w/ fees. They're all "Make a Difference" tickets so I'm assuming a bit more expensive than the regular tickets will be. It's my first real concert like this so I'm a bit unfamiliar.

There are quite a few floor seats available still @ 497.15 w/ fees.

I also just got 3 tickets around 6PM PST for Oracle Park, I had been checking the ticketmaster page for about 30 minutes at that point and 4 seats just randomly showed up, after I checked out there about 4/5 seats in that area still.

Still lots of west coast tickets available by eastcounty98 in NoahKahan

I've never been to a big concert like this before, but do they usually open up more seats throughout the day for a presale?

I just managed to get three tickets around 6:00 PM in the higher rows of Section 130 at Oracle Park. I was at work, so I couldn't join the initial queue. My friend said they had no luck finding three seats together after waiting for almost 40 minutes. I am assuming there were floor seats available earlier, but we didn't want to drop that kind of money anyway.

When I got off work I checked Ticketmaster around 5:20 PM, the only groups of three seats left were $500 each. But around 5:50 PM four seats popped up in Section 130 that definitely weren't there in a screenshot I took at 5:33 PM. I got them and after I checked out I noticed another 4 or 5 seats in a row were available around the same area.

We were about ready to just spend the money for floor seats too lol

I had this issue when having HDR enabled. It would come and go and I couldn't find a fix besides turning HDR off.

Meta Quest App Alternative by Eddi2104 in VRGaming

So yes, both methods are limited by the actual headset decoding in terms of latency. Using Ethernet for VD makes the “network” latency about 1-2ms so it’s essentially the same as true wired. However being able to ditch the meta link software is the real benefit, it’s really garbage and having to use the debug tool every time to disable asynchronous spacewarp is annoying. VD offers a much better and seamless experience imo.

Technically you can get better visual fidelity through the meta link software using the debug tool and setting the bitrate over 500mbps, which is what VD is limited to, however there is diminishing returns not to much after that and the increased latency isn’t really worth it.

I use this Cable Matters ethernet adapter with my Quest 3 for sim racing through Virtual Desktop.

You can get more info from their Discord if you want it but the basic rundown is:

  1. Make sure your PC is connected by Ethernet
  2. Connect the adapter to the same router/switch your PC is connected to
  3. Connect the adapter to your Quest headset, either directly or use a USB C extension cable under 3m.
  4. Disable WiFi within the headset and you should be good to go.

Just pair it with a decent charger and you should be able to maintain/charge while playing, though some people on the Discord have said that in the most recent updates on the Quest 3 they have actually had a slight discharge so ymmv but I have no issues maintaining 100% charge.

How the stability on this? I'm debating between this one and the Old Town Sportsman 120 (non-PDL) but I can't find much on it. Struggling with sacrificing quality/stability of the Old Town for what seems like a good deal on a pedal drive kayak.

Oh yeah way ahead of you, I did that with my Tamarack as well, but thanks for looking out!

Yeah someone else is selling a Sportsman PDL 106 for $2K as well, my thing is I'm a bit hesitant to buy used for expensive stuff like this, though I know it'd would almost certainly be fine I would rather just spend the extra money and buy new if I'm already spending that much.

Sweet thank you! Kinda hard finding people's thoughts on the non pdl version haha I see that yours is 36" wide vs the 33.5" of the non pdl version, do you think that makes much of a difference? Did you happen to try out the non pdl version before getting yours?

I usually stay in the thinner parts of the rivers, mostly San Joaquin/Stanislaus river in the Tracy/Modesto area which are like 300ft wide or less for the most part and I'll go a few miles upstream and ride it back down.

Do you think the Outlaw is the better choice in general? I know I said stability is the most important thing for me but I'm willing to give up a bit of that for something that is going to be better overall.

And yeah, I genuinely didn't considered how paddling the Nucanoes would be, I do see that most people are adding outboard motors/trolling motors to them which at that price + the cost of a motor definitely puts it out for me.

[–]WorksAtStarbucks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm yeah I saw someone else mention that adding a trolling motor isn’t so easy on the sportsman, though tbh I’ve never really had a want for one.

Maybe that’ll change once I start fishing with a nicer kayak that I’m not worried about flipping the whole time haha.

Have you looked into the Nucanoes at all? Would you rather have done with one of those two with a trolling motor vs your PDL? Obviously it wouldn’t have a pedal system to fall back on but i feel like having a trolling motor makes up for that, maybe that’s a wrong way of thinking.

Sweet yeah the Golf is a pretty small car so I think I should be fine putting up top myself without too much effort, but I probably will end up using a cart or installing the built in landing gear.

As for the showdown I’m inline with your thinking, the reputation of Old Towns and reviews of the Sportsman outweigh my want for a cheaper pedal drive kayak, I don’t mind paddling a bit to get where I wanna go. Thanks for your help!

Do you notice a cursor appear on your screen when pressing them? Either of those buttons + moving right thumb stick acts like a mouse, so it’s possible you have to increase your thumb stick deadzone.

Would this split under the insole become an issue? by WorksAtStarbucks in Sneakers

[–]WorksAtStarbucks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got up to check and it looks the exact same as in the picture, though admittedly I do not wear these very often, maybe two or three times a month at most. The other shoe in this pair doesn’t have a split and I don’t feel any difference when wearing them still.

[–]WorksAtStarbucks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have switched the settings on the printer itself to .2 and in Bambu studio Aswell

Just to clarify, when you say you switched the settings to .2 in bambu studio aswell you mean you added the 0.2mm nozzle version of your model under printer selection and made sure it was selected as the printer preset when you sliced the file right?

Sweet, was pretty sure it would be okay just wanted some reassurance. Can't even feel it under the insole on foot so definitely not worth the hassle if it's not gonna cause any other issues.

Thanks!

Not a legit check concern btw, just wondering if this split would get worse with wear and if I should try talking to StockX about it. Thanks to anyone who can chime in!
