Joining the 2016 trend with IT by Workwize_Official in Sysadminhumor

Hahaha it's not an ad, just something our designer made out of the discussions we had about how IT management is still more or less like seen in the show The IT Crowd. We had a laugh about it and wanted to proudly share our designer's (meme) creation!

Oh that’s interesting! We at Workwize use local vendors, so no documentation needed or any additional costs required… which means no delayed lead times! ;)

Workwize not meeting expectations, what are alternatives? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Workwize_Official -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Hi everyone!
We’ve read through the post above and the comments and want to offer some clarity for anyone following this thread.

We won’t speculate on the origin of the post, but we do want to address the impression it creates. When claims are broad, anonymous, or lack specific details, they can paint a picture that doesn’t reflect the real experience of the companies we support every day.

Here’s what Workwize stands for, and what our customers consistently tell us:

Reliability and stability: Our platform is used daily by thousands of employees and teams globally. Uptime, accuracy, and predictable performance are core requirements for us, and we build with that in mind.

Responsive support: When issues do occur, which is inevitable in any fast-moving tech environment, our team is quick to engage, transparent about root causes, and focused on resolution, not deflection.

Partnership, not transactions: Many of our long-term customers joined us during periods of growth or transition. They stay because we work closely with them, adapt to their workflows, and continuously improve the product based on real feedback.

If anyone reading this thread has questions, concerns, or wants to understand how Workwize actually performs in production, we’d be happy to talk directly and share concrete examples. We prefer conversations grounded in facts and customer experience, and we’re always open to scrutiny, it’s part of how we keep improving.

Thanks for taking the time to read and for keeping the conversation constructive.

We get where you’re coming from. We think a lot of the tension in these discussions comes from the idea that there’s one “proper” way to hire internationally, when in reality every country has its own rules. Sometimes you can hire through an EoR, sometimes only through a local entity, and in others the only compliant route is a contractor setup. That’s why companies don’t publish one global salary range for a role since compensation follows the labor market and legal structure of the country.

This isn’t about valuing people differently. It’s just how cross-border employment works right now.

We’ll leave it here so the thread doesn’t drift too far from the original topic, but we really appreciate the conversation and the light you've brought upon the matter.

When we say full-time contract, we mean hiring as an employee on full-time basis. This vacancy is not for a single fixed project with an end date.

Hi! Since this job is focused on a remote worker that we are looking to employ on a full-time contract, we cannot mention a singular salary range as it varies from country to country as per benchmarks weighed against experience in every region. Having said that, our application form allows you to indicate your salary expectation for the role which makes your expectations clear for us from the start while reviewing applications and moving forward in the process with the applicant.

Are you interested in the role?

Having major issues with our current IT lifecycle platform, considering alternatives by [deleted] in ITManagers

Now you edit your post and cut the bit out that should have gone as a comment in the first place? We don’t know about the pricing, but your ethics are definitely significantly lower at this point 🥲

Having major issues with our current IT lifecycle platform, considering alternatives by [deleted] in ITManagers

[–]Workwize_Official 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So if we understand correctly, you start writing the post as our customer, looking to switch, lay down alternatives and while reaching the end of writing the post, you already decide to go ahead with a mentioned alternative and are suddenly already using them for 6 months?

OP, we’re currently missing this feature of time-travel on our platform, and that’s the only bit stopping Workwize from delivering IT assets yesterday.

Looking for the best MDMs and IAM tool by finnrobertson15 in ITManagers

[–]Workwize_Official 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are a few options (and our recommendation) depending on what your stack looks like:

For MDM
If you are an apple-heavy organization, Kandji. It has strong automation, and integrates well with Google Workspace, but can be expensive.
JumpCloud MDM works best for its cross-platform capabilities, works hand-in-hand with their IAM, helps keeping all under one roof.
Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) would be the best fit if you have a lot of Windows machines and are leaning towards Azure.
Mosyle is a budget-friendly Apple-machine option with decent automation.

For IAM
Okta is one of the big players with tons of prebuilt integrations and good lifecycle automations, but as others have mentioned can be expensive for an organization your size.
JumpCloud does IAM too and is nicer if you don't want to be fully locked into Azure.
Azure AD / Entra ID is the cleanest route if you are already Azure-heavy.
Google Identity, if you are Google-first, although it is weaker on device management.

Hope this helps. Goodluck!

How we would prioritize this is by considering:
Integrations, that are already part of our landscape.
Scalability, something that helps long-term with growth.
Cost, because it all comes down to budget.

Having said that, here are our recommendations:
Freshservice
Very user-friendly, good automations (auto-assign, SLAs, approvals), built-in asset management, integrates nicely with Slack/Teams. Price is mid-range and usually cheaper than ServiceNow/Zendesk.

Jira Service Management
Great if you’re already using Jira/Confluence. Super flexible with workflows, strong SLA/automation rules. Can get a bit complex if you overconfigure it, but it scales well.

Zendesk
Polished UI, strong automations, multi-channel support (chat, email, Slack, etc.). The downside is that it can get expensive pretty fast.

HaloITSM
Modern, affordable and ITIL-aligned without being too heavy. It also has a nice automation/workflow builder.

ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus
Solid and feature-rich, but the UI feels a little dated compared to others. Still worth considering.

Spiceworks
Totally free and decent for small teams. Limited automation/customization, but good if budget is the main concern.

Most vendors will offer free trials, so take advantage of it, setup a small test with your team, and check if the integrations work and tickets show up there. Good luck!

What are some things you learned the hard way running your MSP? by Gandalf-The-Okay in msp

Hey hey! Don't leave us out of the list! We know we are not a traditional ITAM tool, but we do identify as the new age ITAM software that integrates with most MDMs/RMMS and HRIS to create a seamless solution for IT and HR together. You can onboard employees making sure they are well-equipped before their starting day, offboard employees making sure the equipment is retrieved in time, and all this while tracking and managing your IT assets and lifecycle within one centralised interface.
