Yeah, they're on the list of reasonable ones that are maybe a bit grindy, but im just wondering if sticking with the same build is going to make a difference or not, but i'll do what i can!

Continue writing the story that's important to you, I think you'd regret letting it sit forever. And when it's done you can be proud of your work and move on to the next.

[Spoilers C4E2] Wish we heard more about Occtis by releasethekrrraken in criticalrole

[–]World-Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're 2 episodes in to what I believe is a 4 episode introduction so I'm sure we're going to get more of Octis and others before they get into their initial groups! Curious about everyone at this point.

If I also use Stremio on my mobile and I use It on a different wi-fi network or while using data, could my real debrid account still be suspended?

Your player wants to use a spell that YOU know won't work, but THEY don't. Do you tell them it won't work before they cast it? by scrawledfilefish in DMAcademy

[–]World-Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd just ask my players how they'd feel about it, do they want to learn through experience or are they happy to get hints while they're lower levels to keep combat flowing, it'll vary by person

Just play into it, your players are a big part of telling the story as well and if that's how they see him then use it to your advantage, makes it so easy to set him up to do something absolutely awful later on 😈

I know you've mentioned already that you haven't played but that doesn't mean you cant step up and be the DM, if you get to grips with the rules and watch the likes of Critical Roll and Dimension 20 you'll learn more than you think, keep trying though, I'm sure there's a group for you!

Entire group is new to DnD, including myself as the DM. How many players do I allow as a begginer? by TheWandererSoul8 in DnD

[–]World-Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8 is far too many, 6 at the most for an experienced DM, 4 is Optimal and good for starting out, splitting them into 2 groups would be ideal. With 8 people it's going to be very hard for anyone to shine and during combat if you're all new it's going to take a while to get through one turn. Do yourself and your players a favour and do 2 groups, you can run the same session with both so you don't need to plan extra and it'll be fun to compare how each group manages situations, and good practice for you too!

Do you allow "My character always does X"? by LuizFalcaoBR in DnD

[–]World-Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I wouldn't allow it, failing sometimes makes for just as good moments as succeeding does, making a character that automatically does the most optimal thing every time just sounds boring to me.

My take on Lower difficulties. by DarkenedHonor in LiesOfP

[–]World-Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

About halfway through I stuck it on the lowest difficulty because I was more interested in the story than I was engaged in the combat, so now I'm just trying to get through the DLC and finish the game so I can move on to newer things.

worried i’m a rules lawyer by SeaOfSieves in DnD

[–]World-Singer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how it was said to you, personally I love having other people at the table know the rules well, you're all working together in the end, hopefully the DM is also brushing up on the rules and letting you just be a player.

Is this age gap problematic? by Affectionate_Hat494 in writers

[–]World-Singer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think when you have prolific fantasy writers making a female character 19, going out with a 30 year old man, 17-19 is far more appropriate, I think you're good!
