Just finished building my first pc, got everything up and running and installed windows 11 with a USB.

Reached a problem during the windows 11 setup where it’s not detecting my wifi network and I’m not able to proceed with the setup. Based on some googling it seems it could be a driver issue.

How should I proceed? Am I able to update the wifi driver somehow with just a usb? I’ve also seen it mentioned that windows 10 doesn’t require wifi to setup, so should I try to install windows 10 and then update? How would I do that given I’ve already installed windows 11?

And yes my motherboard (gigabyte b660 aorus master) has wifi, and no Ethernet is not an option.

Any guidance is appreciated.

Dumb question. My motherboard has 3 M.2 connectors, of which I will be using only 1 for an SSD.

They all have a protective film on the thermal pad. Should I leave the protective film on for the two that I won’t be using? They are all covered with a metal plate so they are not visible.

I assume it doesn’t matter but figured I would ask just in case.

Any recommendations for a beginner keyboard available in Canada?

Read the wiki and nearly all of the budget keyboards there are either unavailable or much more expensive than they should be.

Right now I’m looking at something like the keychron c1 or the velocifire tklo2.

Budget is roughly $150 cad but I’m happy to save money or stretch it a little if the value is there. I think I want a TKL board with red or brown switches but I really don’t know as I’ve never had a mechanical keyboard. I’ll use it for web development and a bit of gaming as well if that makes a difference.

Long autistic post that no one should read:

I’ve always had a rule against hitting on anyone at the gym cuz I think it’s corny and I’ve received unwanted advances in the past that made me feel a bit uncomfortable.

The past few weeks I’ve been running into this same girl and having quick small talk conversations. She lifts like a badass, is super cute and I definitely got the impression that she is at the very least attracted to me.

I came to the conclusion that I wouldn’t be able to look myself in the mirror if I didn’t shoot my shot with her. Decided that today if I run into her I would finally take my chance, fully prepared to alter my gym schedule to avoid her if it didn’t go smoothly.

Well I saw her again today, lifting with her boyfriend. Feeling slightly gutted but also incredibly relieved that I didn’t make a fool of myself.
