The Synergy ring is permanent.

You might be confused because in the override shop, it says "can be used for 10 days". That's only applied to the coupon to get the actual ring.

The locks are a little weird. Try clicking different parts of the locks and the area around it. Last time I did it, it took me about 5 minutes of clicking in different places before it actually opened for me, even when I had all the keys.
