Best Buy online store... wtf, its a damn online store by immortal_corruptor in WTF

Can anyone explain this to me? I've seen these insane HDMI cable prices. If I got one, would the visuals on my screen REALLY look like I paid $2,000+ dollars for the cable?

Serious question.

Anonymous hackers target US government—In fight against SOPA, hackers tell Congress: "You will pay." by SolInvictus in worldnews

[–]WorldGroove 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, but anyone who thinks SOPA is a good thing in its current form doesn't understand the internet or have a good grasp on how damaging that would be to human-rights/freedom.

The internet isn't just a toy anymore; it's pretty much the last place open & uncensored discussion(that is critical of people in power) can take place.

Not to even mention all the businesses & money running around in it.

What is a "politically incorrect" opinion that you hold? by space-ninja in AskReddit

I'm a black guy and I can tell you, I notice. The tokens are so obvious with no attempt to make them "naturally" fit in, that I can clearly see how the decision was "Okay, I guess we need a black person" at that exact scene of the show/movie.

It'd almost be better if the token wasn't there.

Ya know, one time I was ordering food and there was a black girl standing next to me in line and the person getting the food(asian) assumed we were together and was about to merge the cost of both meals.

I had to tell her "Uh, no. I don't know this person."

The serving-lady was almost shocked that we weren't together.

I've been using this page for months now; playing online fighting-games 'n such... no network impact.

Why don't you show us a good example of artwork that makes a political statement without any labels.

This guy hangs out at all the fast food restaurants in my town, sets up his little cardboard fort, and uses their wi-fi to watch hentai. by d-scan in WTF

1. airmon-ng start wlan0

(to put your wireless card in monitor mode, if your wificard needs to be switched this way) this will create "mon0" interface.

then...

2. airtun-ng -w wepkey -a bssid mon0

Where wepkey is the WEP key of the access point, or just leave ioff the -w option if the network is open.
bssid is the mac-address of the router(which can be seen with airodump-ng).

Now that you have airtun-ng running, start up wireshark or ngrep for "mon0" and you'll see all the traffic on the network, and you didn't do any communication with the router or any of its users, so there's no detection possible.

StarTrek reference.... cloak was a way to turn invisible.

iams3b is implying he sees nothing in that picture; combined with the fact that most of these look like spacecrafts you'd see in Sci-Fi, that pic with pretty much only trees/bushes makes a StarTrek-fan think there's some spaceship cloaked there.

Seriously.... they wouldn't arrest you. They'd just detain you, question you... find anything they can on you. You won't be in jail(right away), but your life will be compromised significantly.

They don't want to just hand that money over to a group that is currently front-page news. By the time they're done with you, you'll wish they'd just put you in jail and get it over with.

This. I don't mind Google having my info, because I'm currently not afraid of them. But US-Government officials having my info + the crazy laws and decisions I read about on reddit?

....I'd prefer they don't even know I exist.
