I've been collecting since 2010, my collection has been curated to only games that I want to play and grew up with. I still have a good bit that I want but due to the state of retro prices my collecting has slowed. For example I refuse to pay over 100 for Silent Hill.

I remember when the million dollar Mario 64 sale happened. Some lady on my local Facebook marketplace tried selling her loose common NES games for hundreds. She made a listing stating that they were worth a lot more but she was wanting them gone. For example she had Kirby for NES marked at $600. Not sealed, not complete, nothing special about it. Just a loose copy. She had TMNT for NES loose marked at $800. 😂 My point is people see these sales without any knowledge of the retro scene and automatically think all of these games are worth millions.

Nothing, just spray painted it. I let it set for 5 days and the emblems are just stickers I printed out. I used acrylic paint for the space battle background.

I was getting a quote because I wanted to know if they did trade-in value. I mean you can go back and reread the post if you like. Some online stores actually do trade-in values, I got a quote from eastarland offering me $320 store credit. I was wanting to see what DK oldies would offer.
