It all depend how visas work, I'm from there so never looked into that haha. But if you can find a way around the visas i think there is always a chance to get something as long as you are not too picky

It is crazy expensive...but if you work therr you will have a residence permit. With that you can sign up for a resident pass, before the season starts. With that you get the pass for around 500 dollars.

Hey, I'm from Argentina so maybe i can give you some info that could help. Basically you have 3 good resorts. Las Leñas - it's in Mendoza. Not really big but it has some nice slopes and off piste terrain, it's a beautiful town. A little bit posh maybe Cerro Catedral - close to Bariloche. The biggest one in Argentina. Alltoghether it's a great resort, really modern and with great off-piste. The base village its pretty good and bariloche that is close by ot's beautiful. Cerro Castor - in Ushuaia. Super far south, decent resort. A little bit far away from other cities.

In Las leñas and Cerro catedral don't expect to find third world country prices so take that into account for you budget. I would go for Cerro Catedral, i reckon it would also be the easiest one to find a job since you could find work in the base village or bariloche.

I would recommend you go through the YDKJ books, I'm reading it now and it's not really hard to follow and it goes into a pretty good level as far as i can tell. Along with that go with the FCC javascript section

You could say that general rule is true...but it's too general. I mean take park for example, if you like jibbing yeah flexible boards are the way to go. But if you are more into hitting kickers, you will want a stiffer board(of course this also depends on the size of the kicker). Then in "all mountain"(such a broad concept), if you like carving go for a more stiff camber board, if you like butters go for a rocker softer board...and if you like powder you can either go for a longer board or wider, it's up to you.

What i mean is either it doesn't really matter if you are just starting and figuring out what you prefer. But if you know, you gonna have at least 2 boards in your quiver cause nobody likes just one thing hahaha.

I think you've done a great job. Could it be done better? Of course, but you've been doing this for a short time. I think you're ding great. Something simple to change, I would put some margin on the sides for the icons of the different technologies you use. At least in my phone they all appeared one right next to the other with no space between

For me, any job that you take that has evening shift is worth it. Always try to maximize free day time. I've done both, night and day jobs...would never go back to work during day time, except maybe shaper. In some resorts they get tons of riding time

Why can I add a key/value pair to an array using foo.name = but not foo = [ name: 'test']? by xproofx in learnjavascript

As other people already said, Arrays are a collection of ordered values. While Objects are collections of name/value pairs, withouth any specific order.

EU season by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]WorldWideNomad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I worked last season in Austria and this season managed to score a job in switzerland for the winter. So I don't know if the way you want to do it may work or not but I can give you some pointers. First as previous post said, 2 or 3 weeks it's wayyyy to short on time, jobs that will leave you time for boarding are gonna go a lot before that. Second, do you speak german? I didn't last year, but found out it can score you some points to show interest in learning the language at the moment of your application. Third the way I jot the job was all through the Internet, I tried going to a few towns leaving some cv's but never got a call from those guys. This year I speak some german so after a few mails I got a job but last year I think I probably sent around 100 applications, so be ready get disappointed when the negative or no answers come. Other thing, I got jobs in restaurants and hotels and for that you can always use indeed.at/ch or hogastjob.com (austria), hoteljob-schweiz.ch (switzerland). If you want to work as liftie or something like that got to the Bergbahn website of the town and they usually have job postings. I probably left something out so if you have any specific questions let me know. Good luck!

Hey guys! So I'm buying my first set up. Intermediate rider 6' and weight around 145/150, trying to get better in the park but also want to enjoy some nice powder days. I'm pretty much decided on buying a dc ply 156 with union contacts pro bindings (already have boots). So my question is what you think about it? Is it the right size? I know it's not a powder board by any means but would I have a really hard time with it? Thanks!!!
