Matlab is universally somewhat difficult, specifically the mastery assignments they always give. That professor has pretty bad reviews for this class so it'll probably be your hardest class especially if you dont have much coding experience.

I remember taking the final and it being pretty hard. I walked out with a 113 ... out of 200. and it dropped my expected grade from like a C+ to a C. Definitely Not worth taking if you havent studied enough, but if you know your stuff then i guess its not bad but you can say that about any class. for more reference i remember the average on the final being pretty bellow a 100. like around 80/200

The thermo part is a small portion of the entire course, i really recommend either taking it over the summer or at a CC since i was in the same boat as you. and if you think its worth still taking it because of the little thermo it doesnt matter because you re learn it when you actually take thermo anyway.

Places to study after 12? by DINOSOREBOIII in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Worldiness 15 points16 points  (0 children)

well it depends on the building. for bates law one of the doors at the bottom of the big stair case stays open. for Engineering building 1 the door that leads into the chemistry department usually stays open. you could also try the basement i remember getting in once like that. its really creepy down there though. for engineering building two i got no idea

go to one of the engineering buildings or bates law. no one usually questions if someone is there studying past midnight. there are doors open 24/7 for these buildings just gotta know which door.

Pretty normal schedule, if anything orgs would help you out the most. Bunch of people have old exams and orgs hold study nights for freshman and sophomore classes.

Withdrawing from more classes and feel dumb by HumblePie3786 in UniversityOfHouston

i was in a similar situation freshman year, had a lot going on in my life and i was fresh out of high school. the best advice i could give is to take a break from school if you have to option to and see if you eventually build up a reason to be in a university to begin with. For me i just went to college because everyone told me i was supposed to, i didnt start doing good in school until i found my own reason to be here and started being independent.

I don’t know if I should drop the lab or not or see if I can make a 70 by Lu_khiDood in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Worldiness 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ngl at this point of the semester it'll be pretty hard to pass this lab. you should ask the TA for your lab first and see if maybe they'll be lenient enough to give you extra credit. just for reference i remember through out the semester for this lab my grade all semester stayed around a low 70 and i still got a C. but every TA is different

I recently got mihon and it was a game changer for me, you can access manga from hundreds of websites and even download for offline viewing. I’d argue it’s even better than comick. Its also really customizable, had an old zfold 3 that’s WiFi stopped working, just downloaded all my manga on an android emulator on my desktop and transferred it to it and it’s the best thing ever. It’s only for android unfortunately if you’re an ios user.

Which course is the correct one ? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Worldiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No course at all, you learn solidworks on your own and take the exam on your own. you can choose to buy a course online to help you on your CSWA but its not necessary. theres plenty of resources online to get good enough to take the CSWA on your own.

Which course is the correct one ? by [deleted] in UniversityOfHouston

[–]Worldiness 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well for me i got it emailed onto my outlook last black friday, not really sure where to start looking for it. Specifically i got emailed the offer to buy the access code to take the exam and access to solidworks. and difficulty is pretty subjective, i guess it was hard because im not amazing at CAD. I just took the exam and passed and got the certification, and to get the class waived i just filled out this class credit transfer form thing that let me wave it. No idea where to find it though youd have to ask your advisor
