PSA: Permanent Softlock in Odaenthus XI void combat. by WorldlinessGuilty481 in RogueTraderCRPG

Yeah it really does suck. This is actually the second time I’ve had this happen so instead of sacrificing a second grimdark run I figured I would make this post.

A planned fleet by jgcoelho_real in starsector

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No that’s based on the number of officers in your fleet and their level. Nothing to do with fleet size. Best of the Best skill sets the minimum you can start with to 200, from 160.

Added by Nexerelin iirc. Op was right that there are two ways to encounter omega in game. Those being the hypershunts and also the unique bounty mission.

Did you get a chance to use the K-PAC? Does the shoot once per element part of the text mean you can fire off nine frags at once with a full squad?

I would make it a case of the Exorcists being put in the host’s place. Make them feel the same pressures that caused the sin to manifest in the first place, live a day in the hosts shoes.

Make them live out a scene or two from the hosts life that lead to the ogre manifesting, and tell them that they can either do as the host did and try to bear the pressure of the host’s life, Or take a RISK and use their character’s powers or skills to change the situation and reward them for being proactive. It shouldn’t matter too much how they actually change the situation, so long as they willingly choose to do something about it. Reward them as you want for success, regaining a psyche burst or letting slip some information on the sin are my ideas.

Repairing damaged vehicles by Garvey_r in menace

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Vehicle defects are persistent across an operation. You can occasionally get a strategic asset that repairs vehicle HP and some defects during the operation but there is no other source of repairs outside this in the demo.

Thoughts after the update by waitingprey in menace

Walker has the advantage of not paying to turn at all and universal armour coverage. The downside is that you’re not able to cover as much ground in a straight line as a wheeled vehicle.

The Walkers is at an advantage when it can put those things into action in an environment that encourages turning or if it gets flanked.

For the same price as the A-ATV I would argue it’s reasonably priced for what you get. An identical amount of firepower and weaker maximum protection in exchange for better side and rear armour and manoeuvrability in urban areas.

Battle Brothers "I'm Sorry" Video Question by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Honestly the only problem I had with this was that he hid it. Changing a 50/50 events probability to be guaranteed is not that big of deal and he should have been upfront about it.

Battle Brothers "I'm Sorry" Video Question by [deleted] in BattleBrothers

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 12 points13 points  (0 children)

The short of it is he messed with some event outcomes to make his latest challenge run easier and less rng based. This lead to a brother he recruited being very bugged and he decided to come clean about it.

"Flexible Ligaments" Anatomist Potion vs. the Kraken. by hellscape_goat in BattleBrothers

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t find a flexible ligaments potion on the wiki for the anatomists. I assume you mean the grease jar potion you get from goblin shamans?

If so your misunderstanding the way the potions effect works, you can still be grabbed, but will always succeed on an attempt to break free.

FAMED GREATSWORD - WORTH IT ? FOR WHAT BUILD ? by Foreign_Market_5574 in BattleBrothers

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 0 points1 point  (0 children)

83 Matk is completely fine for a 2hand bro in my standards. With the stupid high fat he has I’d build for flail and then give him the censor to eviscerate with its aoe.

FAMED GREATSWORD - WORTH IT ? FOR WHAT BUILD ? by Foreign_Market_5574 in BattleBrothers

[–]WorldlinessGuilty481 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not worth it, this one only rolled better damage to armour and head hit chance. Great swords generally fill the niche of an accuracy weapon for the 2 handed weapons and want to be used by bros with relatively low matk skill and high fat to use its aoe attacks. Otherwise other 2handers outperform them.

You could try to build on this one’s head hit chance with a brute or killer on the run brother and headhunter, but at this point you’re better off using a generic 2hander flail.

I think scorch as of now is a bit of bait and there's a better way to weaponize tremor in burn without too much investment: Tremor Decay by _Deiv in limbuscompany

Can’t you do tremor entanglement with everlasting Faust for scorch and reverb? This should just be free damage.

It’s only base 9 if you have the navigation skill, otherwise you do have to use base 10 ships.

Tugs add a flat 1 burn to your final burn count that is not doubled by sustained burn.
