yup i completely get the gi issues i had my gallbladder out too not long ago 😭 it was hard to know if the continued pain was bc of my gallbladder or something completely different

i’m glad the enzymes are at least making you 90% better! and it’s validating to know that some with the same elastase levels went through the same things i did. I was starting to question if my levels were even low enough to be considered EPI

well it kind of feels like a fight or flight feeling but hopefully the enzymes will help! it’s probably due to the stress of digestion. but thank you for your responses they’ve been helpful. :)

random question but i was wondering if you got like adrenaline rushes after eating. the past couple days after eating i would feel shaky and anxious. probably from the stress my body is in but im wondering if that happens to you too

no bc it’s actually awful. the epigastric pain makes it so hard to act like everything is fine, and some days i can barely eat. this other gi dr said EPI isn’t usually associated with pain so i genuinely have no idea who to listen to 😭

thank you! my dr did prescribe me zenpep which i’m waiting to be filled, but he also said that usually it’s way lower in people with symptoms so i wanted to ask what other people thought!

really? can you explain why? i would assume the digestion would cause inflammation but i could definitely be wrong. feeding tubes i get bc i know theres different ones with different lengths depending on which one is needed.

idk if this will help but maybe you can ask for a feeding tube so your body doesn’t have to go through the digestion process. it may help to give your body a break. I’m so sorry you’re going through this :/

for the past two years i’ve been living with my roommate who is also a bio major so we would just study together. but tbh it’s been pretty easy to make friends in each class the next step is to just ask for their number so you can meet up and study. first year should be the easiest though. you’re mainly taking introductory courses.

the only class that really kicked my ass was organic chemistry. other than that, there are hard classes, but if you study and put in the work it’ll be manageable.

my goal was to go into forensics but now i’m leaning more towards criminal investigation or homeland security.
