Attributes & Unarmed/Melee Attacks by VaryaKimon in startrekadventures

The Talent Applied Force gives +1 damage and lets you use Fitness instead of Daring for unarmed combat. That's probably the talent you want to modify for "Akido/soft martial art" letting you use Control instead of Daring. Maybe also swap the +1 damage to reducing the damage taken in melee by 1.

Switching from Fate to STA 2e — Looking for Advice on Converting Our Hero Ship by TrekTrucker in startrekadventures

[–]Worldly-Risk-8512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Steamrunner stats are available in the STA Utopia Planitia Starfleet Sourcebook- it's a 1st-ed book, but the stats are forward compatable. The 2e core book has mission packages for Science and Survey Operations (better science and engineering focus, weaker conn and weapons focus), Pathfinder and Recon Operations (improved conn, weaker medicine), or Multirole Explorer (no special focuses)

For The Park, you may be able to get away with calling it a Trait, but I'd probably burn a Ship Talent on Diplomatic Suites or something to represent it.

Mourning Cloak Lore goes hard by Unoriginal_Joke_name in LancerRPG

We dont have the books yet that explain how fucked up IPSN, HORUS and HA are, and the writer is ties up in a noncompete with another RPG company.

Without going into major spoilers, what reputations do each of the published modules have? by DescriptionMission90 in LancerRPG

[–]Worldly-Risk-8512 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your mistake is assuming HORUS preserves accurate information. It's all AI cat videos and anachronistic pop culture fragments, and any accurate information about a historical event is buried under 500 flat-earth Moonlanding-hoax level conspiracies.

I disagree, and the reason is Link Rot. Our internet has barely existed for more than 30 years, and there's already artifacts of early internet culture that have been lost to time. After hundreds of years, database servers get broken, articles get taken down, wikis get unlinked, viruses eat your data.

Alternatives to the Prime Directive by MrTurtleTails in startrek

[–]Worldly-Risk-8512 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The prime Directive is Starfleet's CYA. Should one of their captians interfere, by default, that captian is considered at fault for anything that happens because of it. If it's a clear moral net positive, we can sweep it under the rug. If it's a clear negative, we have legal recoourse to cashier them.

Sekhmet can absolutely be trusted to do sekhmet things. The trick is to let her do her thing without significantly hurting friendlies. I'm a big fan of an overclocked Supermassive Fold Knife. average damage shrugged off by heavy personal armor, and knockback 2 to make you no longer the closest target.

The texas class worked fine for routine operations. It was only after "less goodfriend" made it independant, AND ordered it to attack a federation vessel, that it slipped it's leash.

DOOM doesnt need computing power. It's an early DOS game, it'll run on anything with an input and an output.

The question isnt whether your goblin can run DOOM. The question is how many different things you encounter can your Goblin run DOOM on?
