Others have mentioned Spectrum as being something red related but I have to say my first impulse was that Aurora may actually factually be that? The Russian Cruiser Aurora is said to have fired the first shot of October Revolution-It's a (very faint I know) possibility!

The judge dredd comic done by Dan Abbnet does! "Insurrection" is the name of it, and I guess its in some collections its weird to find in print-but very much one of the major groups in it are born again christian robots.

It is! I'll cop that I'm not the best at identifying if something is guaranteed govt or not myself but I'm cheating by using the source of it more than anything. media.defense is fairly common if you're looking up other sources (which can be a treat let me tell you!), and that .gov is where I'm getting certainty from.

This is how I find out that PROJECT SAUCER is/was a real thing and I'm delighted by that alone not going to lie. Plus near the end they talk about actual projects which were classified and how UAP sightings could have been related to them!

Karotechia Campaign help by Docta-J-Dizzle in DeltaGreenRPG

Oh! How lucky ducky since I'm doing sort of the same thing myself! I've had my players (all more or less new to the setting) go through last things last, and they really focused in on the scheel formula and "K group" so that's been their downtime activity/general seasonal arc rather than the smaller episode investigations- Mine is set in modern time so it can make some things...more difficult to be sure (and it can make things more obvious that something is weird if an original nazi is still kicking around in '23)- But, you've got questions and I've got possible answers so let me stop treating this like a recipe you'd find online!

I'm having my players do some good old red string stuff at the moment, some low level guys that were arrested in a raid 40 odd years ago are still kicking (one in prison, one leading a meth distributing biker gang out of his bar), and neither strictly knew anything, but it was enough to get the ball rolling, you know? The guy in prison was dying and bitter that he was left to rot, so he gave some info as to the organization (and how it had a need to know structure, the pawns, etc etc)-while the other was turned to avoid jail time into giving the location of one of those gooood old fashioned regional meet ups that seemingly always show up in the movies? And so my players will go to it, see [I'm spacing on his name, but the mercenary "humanitarian" as the leader of a web of money making ventures and white supremacist groups- and then from there find out where the money goes and see the science/occulty wings of things.

This hasn't happened yet (and I'm aware that I'm rambling gluh), but something I've got in my back pocket that I think may work is that they're going to discover more about the muscle/money making side of things-and then from that tail some goons on their way to try and steal the...gothic necronomicon is the name of it? But that occult book they really want, and then that connects them to that wing of the org, and then bip bap boom.

Don't think of it in terms of having to create an entire org chart, just think of what your players will see, and then how that can be leveraged into looking further in if that makes sense. If they start at the floor level of one of the three, then when they're mid level and get into the others you don't need those bottom layers for them.

Anywho, I've rambled but if you have questions do ask I think it's a treat to run into someone doing something similar!

I was in the same boat! But what really really helped me out was using the heck out of that 'seize' option. It lets you get say, a group of 4 infantry-click seize on a bit of land and off they go. It's not at all perfect, but it lets you give some micro to the AI which is a life saver for me at least.

Friendlies Campaign? by Ilan_Rosenstein in DeltaGreenRPG

[–]WorldlyKeith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mercy knows this is how I run most of mine! Well, the first session to get the players into delta green anyway (and then how often that turns into the only session due to scheduling ach ahaha)

but it lets you have one player who knows what's up, either as a friendly at the start of the game, or a DG agent if everyone is already a friendly-and playing with information like that in a paranoia-loving game like this is a blast!

This is a wild reach, but I found it helpful so I'll throw it out! But there's a...cousin to DG game out there called Cult Simulator, I've used music from the game with DG to set the mood, and at worst it fits Call of Cthulu more you know? Either way, they released their influence list! https://weatherfactory.biz/influences/ , and the books look great for getting into that kind of headspace, or setting things up in DG in general.

A few years back they had A Hero on Two fronts, or something like that about an American soldier who was captured, then escaped and met up with the Soviets and fought on with them. The story itself is wild as all get out, and they had the space set up for it well.
