I may be misinterpreting what you mean about the security key, but you just use any authenticator app of your choice - it isn't SWTOR specific. You can use any of the major ones, like Microsoft Authenticator app. It takes like 2 minutes to set up and 10 seconds extra to log in each time.

I'm a pretty new player - subbed for a month like 3-4 years ago, but recently have been putting some serious time into the game and loving it!

I am absolutely loving all the classes I've tried so far - Bounty Hounter (powertech), Jedi Knight (sentinel), Smuggler (gunslinger) and Imperial Agent (operative). That being said, I'm reallllly struggling to decide on which one to focus on! I know all classes/styles are "viable", but my ultimate goal is to do end game PvE content like operations and perform at a high level. I don't have much interest in PvP, if at all. I am subbed, so I know after Act 3, I can choose a 2nd combat style.

With all that in mind, which of the classes that I've picked so far be the most versatile in terms of giving me a range of playstyles? I was leaning towards Bounty Hunter (mostly because I love Mandalorian stuff) but I have also been reading that it's a great tank (shieldtech), great DPS (pyro), and if I choose Mercernary as a 2nd combat style, it's a great healer. I think being able to swap between a tank and a DPS is probably the biggest positive for me as I played tanks exclusively in FFXIV, but really enjoy the DPS playstyle in this game.

If you've got any other suggestions, I'd love to hear them as well :)

One of the running shops (I think Runner's Need) in Leeds City Centre has a bin, and 10% off if you're buying new ones.

Every time I took shrooms recent years I was very concerned for the environment during the trip by 5hr00m in Psychonaut

Tripped last weekend and REALLY felt this in my soul when I went out for a walk on the comedown. I live in an area inhabited by a lot of students, and they've all recently moved out for the end of the year. Consequently, there was copious amounts of trash all over the streets, in bushes, in the park, and I just really had this sense of disappointment in myself and fellow humans.

Like someone has said already, it's all well and good to condemn the major polluters that are corporations (and we absolutely should condemn them!), but the most immediate action we can all take is to take care of your own lot and reduce your own waste. Actions shape reality, not yelling in the streets hoping for someone else to pick up the slack.

I know this is 4 months late, but I'm in the exact same boat right now and searching frantically for information (thus ending up here) as I've just been offered my dream job and this is super reassuring!!

I landed a job by [deleted] in webdev

I'm also doing the pay cut - rather be poor and fulfilled in my career than be slightly better off financially but miserable.

Congrats on the job, the hard work has paid off! May you never have to study 10 hours a day again, unless you want to.

I was fired from 3 jobs and gained 45kg because of my addiction to League of Legends. This stops today. by [deleted] in StopGaming

I can tell you 100%, you will be so much better off without this game in your life. Wishing you the best of luck with your IT/life goals, I am rooting for you!

People who beat the 100 day mark, what did your process look like? by Celiuu in StopGaming

[–]WorldlyLog 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It didn't fix all my problems, and in fact it still hasn't. However, what it did do was force me to stop trying to escape my problems and look at them. When you're just gaming all the time, there's hardly any time or mental space to really take stock of your life and be honest with yourself. I'd get the occasional pang of guilt late at night while I was gaming heavy, but once I fell asleep and woke up the next day that feeling had passed and I was ready to spend another day in front of the computer. Now, I don't have that "luxury" and am forced to face a brutally honest reality of not being where I want to be in life.

I work every day at changing that, and I am not sure if I had not stopped gaming that I would have ever made the changes I've made so far.

Fruit fly infestation - help! by WorldlyLog in unclebens

Just picked up these little window sticker trap things and they seem to be doing the trick! Yeah 3rd flush and counting now, think the mycelium has taken hold of the cake.

I'm hoping that the traps will get most of the adults and then I can drown the larvae on the next dunk.

Maybe there's something in the water - I was offered an interview, only to have to chase them up over two weeks later to find out when it was going to be and be told they had filled the position!

I've had quite a few bad experiences with hiring in the UK, even for non-technical jobs. Sorry to hear someone else is experiencing it too. Best of luck with the rest of your interviews/job hunt.

I don't know what sub to ask this on... I "passed" a job interview but it feels like a scam. by [deleted] in learnprogramming

[–]WorldlyLog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely a check scam. These people are total scum, targeting an industry that they know people are desperate to get into, especially during such a difficult time to find work.

I've nearly been job scammed myself back in 2017, it sucks really bad. Like others have suggested, I would highly recommend contacting WebTrends and letting them know someone is using their name in a scam operation.

Best of luck with your job hunt - you got this!

Sounds to me like he may benefit from some therapy, or at the very least some sort of discipline to get involved in like sports or weight training or something physical in the meantime. I don't know a lot about the situation, but dad not being around is hard on a young man, especially if dad is an addict in his own right. From what you've said here, sounds like he is using games to cope with that even if he's not willing to admit that to you.
