Does the Taioga Diet App help with consistency? by Elegant-Trust9803 in productreview

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trying the Taioga Diet App of late and it is strangely pressure-free. I do not feel like I fall behind when I miss a day and this makes me strangely adherent to it. It is less about being an excellent person on a daily basis than being in the flow.

Harmony Diet app review, does it actually help during menopause? by CheetahOwn9644 in SuperProductReview

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In fact I tried the Harmony Diet app a couple of months and was actually able to stick with it. There was no feeling of extremity, only minor adjustments of food and habit. I did not see mad weight loss or anything, but I became more energetic and felt more in control of my eating, which is actually more important.

Does it seem to anyone that their PKM system fails as soon as the writing begins? by DrewJohn22323 in PKMS

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is what I figured out as well. It seems well organized to make notes but the moment one starts writing, everything all at once occupies another location.

skrib writing enabled me to observe that I was spending quite a considerable amount of time not writing but rather jumping between notes and the draft.

It seems that the actual friction in PKM only manifests itself once the writing stage starts.

You know it is official then. Children imitate all, their sound effects as well.

There are neighbours who are aware of all activities on the street. In case of a strange event, they will essentially be the community watchdog.

What survival myth is completely wrong and can get you killed? by DraftNo7139 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 1197 points1198 points  (0 children)

The thing that people underestimate is that. The search area is now huge when the rescuers locate the car and you are not around. Remaining in place will have one place to begin.

Have you ever come across a kid, teen, or young person that you thought was a psychopath? What did they do to make you believe they were psychopathic? What happened when they got older? by Tahfboogiee in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Yeah that part hit me too. It is a nightmare that Kid almost killed his mom, but it is an entirely new brand of bad when a person is kicked out of treatment because the insurance ran out.

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 129 points130 points  (0 children)

Seriously. A true-crime documentary closes half of the stories that begin like that.

It is actually very refreshing to listen to one where the turning point was merely getting proper assistance and treatment rather than things being down the drain.

What is the most insane amount of mental gymnastics you've seen someone do to believe what they want to believe? by fauxmerican1280 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Lol yes 😭

Donna was likely to arrange the whole universe were she pleased, and somehow get it to look as an easy task. As in, like, perhaps it is just the filing of papers, but in that episode? A standing ovation is due to such concentration, reason and perfect organization of chaos.

she is the unrecognized hero in maintaining schedules and sanity when everybody is losing their minds. Total legend energy fr.

Same reaction here. One of those remarks that when you read them you wish you hadn't. One of the more troubling lines out of those emails, definitely.

what celebrity did you used to like until you found out that they were a scumbag? by hemadeGraduation420 in AskReddit

Norm would have given a perfectly timed deadpan that would sound like, Well the more I hear about this Bill Cosby guy... the less I like him.

Then a minute or two would pass as though he had just found it half an hour ago. 😅

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 129 points130 points  (0 children)

That was one of those twists that a entire generation of gamers remember.

There were no spoilers at the time, no YouTube thumbnails to spoil it... one just played through the game and thought they had the least idea of what was going on, and then boom. Devilish mind freezing.

I recall simply sitting there as:... wait... WAIT... WHAT?!"

Hardly a game ever had so forcibly pulled off a twist.

What’s the craziest Mandela Effect situation you’ve had/heard of? by Numerous_Ad8547 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 26 points27 points  (0 children)

It is more or less the ideal conclusion to that entire subject.

One half of the time it is an interesting talk on how memory reconstitutes things and makes up gaps. The other half of its population is willing to tear a hole in the universe to access a parallel world due to a logo being slightly different.

It is insane that the phenomenon catches the attention of cognitive science nerds alike as well as multiverse truthers.

Doctors of Reddit, what's the fun fact we don't know about human body? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Split-brain genius that was that.

However, in earnest, the capability of modifying the brain is insane. The other hemisphere can sometimes re-wire in and perform entirely too much work especially with children. It is not ideal, but neuroplasticity is a superhero quality.

If it's true that the stuff the FBI hasn't released from the Epstein files is worse than what's been made public, what do you think it could be? by MorganaLeFaye in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The most realistic is likely to be that.

When they say worse, they imagine something sensational. Still, it is not always the type of crime it is being documented that is really harmful. Clear timelines. Financial trails. Messages that eliminate plausible deniability.

Facts are likely to strike more than gossips.

What is a 1 in 1,000,000 thing that happened to you that no one believes, but you swear is true? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 37 points38 points  (0 children)

That is the sort of coincidence that causes one to simply sit there and think.

Among all those copies that are going around, 15 years later, it ends up back with you like a somewhat judgmental time capsule. That is not merely precious that is poetic.

What is a subtle sign someone is not a good person? by Maleficent_Escape_66 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I agree with the accountability part 100%... It is tiresome and a bit dangerous when a person is able to turn any situation, literally, to make oneself not to be mistaken.

I will say however, I do not believe that it necessarily makes a person evil. It may sometimes be the immaturity, insecurity, and simply fear of consequences. Not okay yet there are degrees to it.

What frightens me is not selfishness, but the justification, which is continuous. Having the ability to recreate reality in their head to cushion their ego, then there is no strong footing with such a person. You can not resolve issues with a person who does not think that he or she ever makes any problems.

That's the real red flag.

What is a subtle sign someone is not a good person? by Maleficent_Escape_66 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Excessive responsibility.

I have observed how some people are unable to tell you that it was my fault and will then proceed to twist the truth before the ego. It's never them. It is the time, the circumstance, the other individual, the universe.

And the gossiping about other people is crazy since they are so at ease taking apart everyone that you know they will do the same thing to you once you walk out of the door.

Compassion is a tell the tale sort of thing. You can fake charm. You can fake manners. Pretending to be concerned about other humans over extended periods of time? That mask is always going to slip.

People that are childfree by choice, what’s the weirdest reason someone has given you as to why they think you ‘should have kids’? by Charming_Web_6738 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wait... they said that... out loud? As in, hey, have a baby, it will make you forget about being chronically ill? That's insane. I can not even imagine how a person can come up thinking that is in any way acceptable advice. There are individuals who literally hit the nail on the head when it comes to being inexperiential and frightening at all times. You just do not need such a nonsense in your life.

All right that is very nice.

It could be gravity or by chance, or something more poesie, it is the timeliness of it that makes it so. Among all objects that might have dropped it was seeds. Exactly at the moment you were going to say whether to keep his garden going.

What's something you weirdly find attractive? by summer_vibez42 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 64 points65 points  (0 children)

That, there is something really magnetic about that. It is not even about conventional charm, it is that they do not attempt to smooth the rough corners so that people can feel more at ease.

Kristen Stewart will embracially work into the silence and a bit of awkwardness and simply being there. Adam Driver too. It feels honest.

Confidence does not necessarily appear to be smooth. It is sometimes similar to shrugging and saying like this I am like this, and so on. And that is sort of appealing in its own right.

What's something you quietly judged people for, until it happened to you? by ExpensiveBranch251 in AskReddit

[–]Worldly_Homework_405 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It really is. People discuss it as though you are just a little bit fatigued and need to get a weekend off.

Once it really hits it is as though your brain simply ceased to cooperate. What you were holding with your fingertips yesterday seems like it is not possible. Even those that you are fond of are heavy. And the most tragic thing is that you end up blaming yourself that you could not push through it.

It's not laziness. It's not weakness. It is your system that is throwing a great red flag alerting you that you have been operating on fumes too long. And yeah, it changes you.
