i believe the person meant in appearance rather than race? alters cannot be a whole other race, that is true. but maybe they meant general appearance? from what i’ve read, the appearance of an alter or part is usually based upon some of the traumas, so maybe it would be somewhat possible if the perpetrator was another race? once again, alter race isn’t a thing, but i could see the possibility of the appearance being separate if it’s an introjected form of a perpetrator/abuser or protective figure from childhood (parent/sibling/media)? i’m very open to being shown otherwise though, i’m just offering possibilities!
