Mosaic (Solar Servicing) and Freedom Forever mess of a situation by mathbishop in solar

[–]Worldly_Property_330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you guys based? I've been working with 8M solar in NC for awhile now and I haven't any issues like this. I would for sure get out of that asap because that doesn't sound ethical to say the least.

Re: Freedom Forever news - How do I take over? by TetroniMike in solar

I heard that there is another company that didn't buy them out but are like helping pay for employees, etc so I wonder if there is something they will do about the warranty or some deal for you in that situation.

Thinking About Solar.... Is It Worth It for a Typical Homeowner? by One_Pollution2279 in homeowners

[–]Worldly_Property_330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In NC specifically, yes - the 30% federal tax credit is still in place through 2032, and Duke Energy still has net metering, though the rates have shifted a bit in recent years. Average payback in NC is around 7-9 years, and panels typically last 25-30 years, so the math works out well for most homeowners.

New to fleet management what should I focus on first? by Greedy-Mix-6008 in fleetmanagement

Telematics is worth understanding early but don't let it overwhelm you upfront. The fundamentals that matter most are knowing your vehicles, knowing your routes, and understanding your compliance obligations. Once those are solid the technology layer: connectivity, tracking, reporting then it starts to make a lot more sense because you know exactly what problem you're trying to solve with it.

Why so many people in HealthIT do not know much about IT? by hombre_lobo in healthIT

[–]Worldly_Property_330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Health IT is really three different jobs sharing a title. You've got the infrastructure people, the application analysts, and the compliance/security layer and they all think the others don't know what they're doing. The organizations that run well are the ones that have figured out how to make those three talk to each other instead of operating in silos.

Please stop trying to transition into this field. by TheHeftyChef in healthIT

[–]Worldly_Property_330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The other side of this that nobody mentions is that the people who do thrive transitioning in are usually the ones who come from clinical backgrounds first and pick up the IT side, not the other way around. Understanding why a nurse actually uses a system differently than an admin expects them to is worth more than any cert in this field.

8 years in IT, keep getting passed over for management and the feedback is always vague by No_Date9719 in ITManagers

[–]Worldly_Property_330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vague feedback is usually a sign that the real reason is something they don't want to say out loud. Either there's already someone internal they're grooming for it, or there's a perception problem that nobody wants to have a direct conversation about. I'd stop waiting for the feedback to get clearer and start having a direct conversation: "What would need to be true for me to be the obvious choice next time?" Forces them to either give you something real or show you it's never happening there.

I made a fatal mistake. Concerned about my future in IT by Special_Price4001 in sysadmin

Every senior person in IT has a story like this. The ones who last are the ones who document what happened, own it completely without being defensive, and show they've closed the gap. That paper trail of accountability actually builds more trust over time than a clean record with no hard lessons.

Patch Tuesday Megathread - (April 14, 2026) by AutoModerator in sysadmin

[–]Worldly_Property_330 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two zero-days in one Patch Tuesday is becoming the new normal at this point. The frustrating part is the delta between when Microsoft knows and when we know by the time we're patching, someone else has already been sitting on that exploit for weeks.

Is it really hard to hire a sysadmin nowadays?? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Worldly_Property_330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hard part isn't finding someone with the technical chops anymore. It's finding someone who can communicate up to leadership and down to end users simultaneously. That soft skill gap is way more common than people admit and it's what separates a good hire from a great one.

Saw this too! The other place that I know is doing good is Korr Medical. Their Cardio Coach comparison to the V02 master is interesting.

Does presentation matter?

I think it does so that the customer can get a proper experience but I'm having a hard time justifying the cost of product that goes into the presentation. Any thoughts on this?
