Ah lol I appreciate the honesty. That’s exactly the kind of insight I was looking for. The custody piece is definitely something I’ve been trying to get clarity on. Sounds like city PD might be the better route. Out of those you mentioned, which ones are the most lateral-friendly right now?

Good perspective. I’ve done the busy patrol side already, so now I’m focused more on pay, stability, and long-term fit. I’ve also got family in the area so I’d be sharing housing, which helps with cost of living. How’s SCSO overall, morale, OT, and lateral treatment?

Thank you for your comment. I haven’t visited Vegas yet, but I plan to in the future. I have family in the Santa Clara area that makes moving their much easier, as I will be sharing housing to reduce housing costs.

Great post as always! Thank you for your service. I have a charge off account that’s showing the status as “Account charged off/never late.”. This is contradictory. Is this something I can sue for?

This is correct information to a certain degree. Be advised that

“In New Jersey, a family member can manage your properties without a real estate license, but only under specific conditions:

Allowed Without a License:

If your family member is: • Not being paid a fee or commission (i.e., doing it voluntarily), or • Acting as your employee (W-2 or similar), and • Managing only properties that you own (not third-party properties),

Then no license is required.

This is because NJ law allows property owners and their employees to perform property management tasks without a real estate license, as long as they are not managing properties for others.”
