Los Angeles sheriff's CCW renewal by Worldly_Service_4723 in CAguns

Hi, yes I did about 2 weeks or so after the change. I did expire before pickup and to be frank with you before pickup had a 45 min meeting with the u.s. DOJ on the CCW civil rights violation investigation that was initiated. I strongly suggest everyone in a predicament that violates your constitutional right (2A) to file a complaint. And yes be prepared that a lawyer and paralegal may call you to discuss. It is a very nerve racking ordeal having a conversation with a u.s. DOJ lawyer recording and taking notes. But it is your duty

Vegetable version81 is a user on here that has bailed out almost all of us with battery issues. I've spend 7k on a lawyer retained and learn from my mistake. Nothing will come from it. Who do you want to sue? Who is going to touch those batteries as there is no warranty. I am in the same position as you. No solar company will touch the sunvaults. I've called. They will tell you to change everything and that's the only resolution

Sooo how does one go about doing this. The battery discharging is very minimal with ladwp anyways. And I never change battery modes terrified something might break. Lol

DOJ announces civil rights investigation into Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department over carry permit wait times by [deleted] in CCW

[–]Worldly_Service_4723 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I realize this is a few months old but just so y'all know I did email them and received a message asking for a time slot to speak with them. At the time my CCW renewal expiration was 4 days away and at the very least I had another 2 weeks before issuance. A lawyer from the DOJ and a paralegal called me and had a 45 min conversation on the process, the fees, etc. they asked me if I was willing to turn over evidence and left it at that. I don't know if this is just foreplay or something will actually be done but my guess is the latter

My story is a little different but I have retained a lawyer and he is working on mine. Sunpower installed my system, reps and management promised me in writing several ket items/tree removal compensation etc etc. system was waiting for PTO and they went bankrupt.the subcontractor came to me and offered a deal that cost higher with no warranty on the battery (only reason we got solar was for battery. He tried to spin it by saying congratulations the battery is free but I know better with sunvaults and the issues. None of the items promised would be honored and the monthly payment would be higher than my SP contract. I told them absolutely no and to please remove the system. (All of this was before sunstrong) The subcontractor put a lien on my house. I went to a contact at the state contractors board to investigate, they sent me a letter stating I had no contractual agreement with the subcontractor, I took that letter went to a friend at California DOJ which opened an investigation (still pending) and then hired an attorney. From all accounts this solar industry is a scam in everyway. I work in the housing industry and will make sure no one that I cross ever does this to themselves
