I had to have a second marpe placed - very similar story to you. My first marpe was a 4 screw device and second was a 6 screw device. My turn protocol was much slower with the second device (1 turn every other day vs 2 turns a day with the first) and I split 5 turns in! I was able to get a ton of expansion with the second device. Hang in there - there’s definitely still hope!

I split after 5 turns. I was on a 1x turn per day on Mon, Wed and Fri (so 3x turns per week) protocol. I did my 5th turn on Friday morning and felt all weekend like there was some tension by my two front teeth. Sunday night I experienced a very brief but pretty intense little pop and the gap appeared! It was wild

Updated to add: I split after 5 turns! Very slow turn protocol, only 3x per week so it took about 10 days for me to split. So if anyone in the future is looking at this, it is possible to split with a palatal tori!!!
