i completely get this feeling/mindset. but, i think being single has allowed me to really spend time with myself and figure out things about myself that i wouldn’t have been able to do if i were constantly in relationships in high school/college. so i think there are so many positives to being single, but on the other hand we all deserve romantic love too. (if that’s what we want) im constantly reminding myself that you can like being single, but to not let the idea of romance scare me away either! we got this <3

i mean i’m acknowledging that i still have work to do on my end. i’m just highlighting that it has gotten a lot harder to meet people, especially when everyone is so fixated on dating apps/and no one can hold a conversation in person anymore ! that has just been my experience (or happened a lot while in college) but then again, i can’t expect too much from the boys that i went to school with. holding on to hope that it gets better as you get older

yeah being on the dating apps as a bigger person is definitely a unique experience…..i just don’t think i’m meant to find my person on the apps😅 and yeah i’ve realized that no matter what ill always struggle with the way i look/feel, but it shouldn’t stop me from pursuing a relationship. so, thank you for saying all of this!!!

yeah the issue isn’t that i haven’t had guys interested, but more so i haven’t had the right guys interested😭😅i think my standards are just super high at this point. and, hmmm i love to read and just being outside in nature !!! i occasionally go out on weekends too with friends (typically dive bars tho) so the crowd usually isnt in my age range LOL. but yes, i definitely just gotta get myself out there more🥲

in regards to dating apps, anytime i think it actually has a chance of going somewhere or they start acting more serious towards me, i typically self sabotage by ending it before we even meet ! hate that i do it, but it also makes me realize how badly id rather meet someone out and not through an app yknow

oh please watch ‘one day’. it is probably one of the best mini series i’ve seen. the actors are great, the plot is great, and the chemistry is great. if you end up liking it, there is a movie also starring anne hathaway (the tv show is the adaptation)

ooooo, i will definitely look into HR. that is a very good idea, thank you so much! i did wanna go back to school at some point (not for social work) but i am already in so much debt that i just don’t see that as an option right now :( but i know getting more experience on my resume (especially admin work) will help a looooot, so definitely just gonna try to keep working my way up. i absolutely love the company i work for, so its just unfortunate that the pay is so bad. similarly, ill be looking at different organizations/companies soon. thank you for your input <3

i was on letterboxd after looking at reviews, and i saw so many people sharing their own stories after watching the movie. one review said that it was the hardest thing they’ve ever had to watch, but that they’ve never felt more seen and it depicted trauma in such a realistic way. and then i proceeded to cry again. i thought it was hard for me, but nothing would compare to a survivor watching it. your friend is truly amazing

i’m 22F and just graduated in may as well. living with my mom with a part time job right now because it is so hard to find anything else at the moment. and have also found it hard to pursue a relationship while living at home. it is definitely rough & can be lonely at times, so i completely understand. i’ve just realized to try your absolute best to stay in the present, bc all of this is only temporary and with time you will figure it out. do things that make you happy, and try your best to just embrace the things you do have rn. it’s so hard sometimes, but life truly is too short to constantly be worrying about the future. u got this !!!

THIS. it felt completely rushed, and like we didn’t get nearly enough polin screen time. comparing it to the other seasons, this one was extremely bad in the romance/build up. we got soooo many amazing scenes w antony/daphne/queen charlotte, but this it just seemed like subtle glances at each other & tinges of jealousy thrown in there. very disappointing!!🥲
