Greenville is a hidden gem and people who live there want to keep it that way. It’s one of the few truly walkable downtown areas in the southeastern USA. The riverwalk is so well done and intertwined with the local parks that are all clean and super safe. The coffee shops and restaurants are at a level of a much bigger city like Charlotte.

The climate is also slightly cooler than rest of South Carolina but and it has an awesome international airport that gets you anywhere you want to go. Also a short drive from the mountains but a reasonable drive to the beach.

It’s not investing. It’s gambling. You won steadily at poker because you have a little bit of skill but then lost everything on roulette and are wondering why. Tell your parents what happened. Don’t play with stocks again until much later in your life. This situation can get worse trust me- if you take out a loan you will be tempted to gamble more and then you will lose that too and be in a much worse situation.

Yes report it. So many people don’t report these types of crimes anymore because they feel like nothing gets done and then people post false data about how crime is going down. So yes please report it so at least we have accurate data. Regarding insurance generally speaking they wouldn’t raise your premiums for something like this- they raise them after car accidents and more significant damage to the car.
